Hentrich likes rookie punter's game

Rookie free agent A.J. Trapasso handled most of the punting during Titans training camp, giving 16th-year pro Craig Hentrich a break.
As the camp curtain came down Wednesday, Hentrich, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, said Trapasso belongs in the NFL.
?He?s the first guy we?ve had here in a number of years that I?ve felt that way,? Hentrich said. ?I don?t think there?s any question he?ll be in this league for a long time.?
Trapasso, an Ohio State product, said Hentrich, place-kicker Rob Bironas and special teams coach Alan Lowry ?really helped me refine my kickoff and little things in the punt game. I think I?ve made a lot of improvement and, hopefully, turned some heads.?
He?s certainly been involved in some big moments this preseason. In the Hall of Fame game he ran a fake punt for a touchdown. Against the Cowboys one of his punts hit the gigantic video screen over the field in Cowboys Stadium, setting off national debate about the billion-dollar venue.
?He?s been on ESPN two times, which usually is a bad thing, but in this case it?s a very good thing,? Hentrich said.
The Titans usually keep one punter, so Trapasso?s days in Tennessee are likely numbered. Rosters have to be trimmed to 53 players by Sept. 5. But it would seem unlikely he'll be without a job for long.
