Change scUM to scUM State and you have my scare game list as well. I'll take my chances with the home slate, its the roadies that are going to be the issue.
Dantonio will have 'em ready, that's for sure. Hate to tell the national media, but this conference is not going to be a bunch of patsies. Problem is that they will all beat each other up and they'll call it a weak rather than competitive Big 10.

I went back to the 2007 thread on this topic and found that 39% of the voters saw 11-2 but I doubt any of them saw us arriving at this record in the way we did. I think it bears mentioning that this was a rebuilding year to set up for a run in 2008. Wisky has been a thorn in our side but they lose a little more than some think, they just have a 2007 PSU feel to them. And catching USC early is the best scenario we could ask for going into next season. USC does have a bit of a rebuilding effort to do on the defensive side and as we have discussed earlier they need to find a steady recieving threat for a brand new starter who was rather unspectacular in his few starts this season. It can be done, see us this season, but we had the advantage of a soft early season schedule. USC doesn't have that comfort next year. This team has a good feel to it next year and with the looks of most of the Jrs. coming back this team could be great.

I have to agree. I'm putting for big stars next to USC, Wisky, Illini, and scUM on next year's schedule and a little one next to PSU. None of those are gimmies.
Absolutely... but I think they'd look better with W's at USC and Wiscy in the rearview mirror.

I dont know guys I really think your going to see the bucks wake up this year and really hit it hard and go all the way. Its been to long since 02 for Jim to go another season without a N/C. I look for a possible 13-0 esp. if we get pryor.

I just don't buy Pryor being the "make it or break it" difference going into next year.

The number of Juniors who decided to stay with MJ to make a title run is far more important IMO.

Even a total moron like me agrees with you here....TB is going to see the ball next year regardless. He's already played in a national title game. Experience is a big deal at ohio state MOST of the time. Regardless of how good or bad he performed at the NC game..He's going to be the one we watch next year again IMO....

I would love to see OSU use Henton just to see what he has. He looked superfast in the few plays I have seen him this year. I just love all the options you have have with an athletic qb taking the snaps. Wells,Saine,Henton I'd cream to see a triple option with that...Although it would never happen it would be something fun to try...I just like having someone with mobility who can somewhat accurately pass the ball. Even just short passes accurately with someone like Henton would open up the playbook dramatically.

Like Les Miles or not. The way he utilizes everyone on the field who are just nasty athletes anywhere he can put them is a great method. It is VERY hard to stop a team who can hit you from all angles just to see what you can't defend, then stay on that angle until you break or force them to over correct it. Then, pow something else comes at you. There is so many possibilities with what OSU has coming back especially if a blessing like freeman,JL and alex boone come back. You basically can do anything with the defense and it still be outstanding..The offense I just wish had more stability at QB,but for god sake's we could control the ball against anyone with wells/saine...Go back to conservative football with an OUTSTANDING running games and wear teams out. It worked for so long and has now become too far over the edge with passing the ball IMO..OSU can have an incredible o-line,and an incredible backfield..The defense can be very dominating...2002......No need to over adjust..Smash and bash IMO..

I look for better play from the #3 #4 And #5 Wrs next year being a key, Robiskie And Hartline can not do it all by themselves.

Ray Small needs to step up next year

Posey and Stoneburner have a shot to contribute right away, Washington and Sanzenbacher should gain some experience and contribute more as well

I'm all for letting Beanie take over games but I'd hate to become too one dimensional.

Spread it out a bit, use play action and then run it down their throats.

The first order of business to me is getting some of the execution problems under control that seemed to plague the Bucks a bit in 07.

I'm not too good at predicting much of anything, but whatever the loss total for next year was going to be it has dropped by 1 with the recent decisions by MJ, BR, MF, and AB to return. That's 4 sure-fire All Big Ten players and possibly all of them somewhere on the All-American team. Folks, thats huge!
If JL decides to come back and you're looking at a team that will be real tough to puts points on the board against.

Looking at this years team, and only taking away Grant, Gohlston, and Barton probably makes them a legit preseason #1 choice.

It won't happen though. The past two BCS games will be held against them.

I prefer them not to be and I agree with this statement but when did that type of crap start happening. I compair this last season with 97.... we were overwhelmed in the sugar bowl against Florida State but no one had any problems making us number one the next year because FSU returned very little and we had everyone comming back. tOSU is in a similar situation but with maybe a better team than 98.
