OSU Wrestling (2008 and 2009 NCAA Runners-up)

Screw the intervierw - go watch the ODU guy you'll probably meet in the finals Saturday night.

Ryan Williams of Old Dominion in the #8 seed, he's ahead of Alex Krom from Maryland 3-0 in the third.

tOSU still has Pucillo at 184. I'm assuming that NW'ern's Jake Herbert is in on of the semifina matches also. The two of them have won the NCAAs the last 2 years - Herbert took off last year to try for the Olympics.

Updated team scores?

Someone on the live blog/chat at Intermat just posted the following:

Ohio State OSU 77.5
ISU 61
IA 57

People speculating that our lead will not hold -- actually it's Bucksman (Ohio State fan posting on O-Zone), and he's now predicting Iowa for the team title due to all the wrestlers still alive in the consolation brackets. And, I think everyone is assuming a Metcalf win the finals (he did lose to his finals opponent once before though).

That previous post looks like it hasn't been updated for Iowa getting a win by Metcalf at 149. Here are the remaining semifinal matches:

Iowa State has 3 guys left; tOSU and Iowa have 1 left. Wrestlers also can earn team points in the consolation brackets (it's a double-elimination, and there are places for 1st through 8th). Nebraska is still alive with 4 guys in the semis.
