OSU Wrestling (2008 and 2009 NCAA Runners-up)

I am certainly not an expert and don't know the exact number of points but I don't think how you win matters that much in a tournament. I think a win is a win and the team gets x number oh points. I might be totally wrong but I think that is how it works.

For us neophytes, how does the team scoring go? Same as regular? 3 pts for point win, six for pin, 5(?) for major decision? Being up 2 with 4 in semis, and Iowa with 2 in semis and one to go (he lost) seems like not alot of cushion there. But if the guys in the wrestlebacks can score points too, (at the same level?), then OSU might not hold on.

Wouldn't that be grand. 8th in Big Ten, and 1st in nation! Hard to believe. Another point, it's great to see so many B10ers ranked highly and always on the mats........

The team ended up 6th in this year's Big Ten Tournament.

Last year, they were 5th in the Big Ten Tourney and ended up 2nd in the NCAAs, so they peak after the Big Ten meet.

Coverage of the tournament just began on ESPN2 for anyone not intrigued by the matchup of Xavier and Portland State or a replay of the Reds spring training game.

Reece Humphrey advanced to the Finals at 133 pounds. Great giong, Reece!

He'll be wresting Mich St's Gomez, who beat him at the Big Ten Tourney a couple of weeks ago.
