OSU/PSU LB Depth (split from Dorian Bell thread)

I'm just going to leave you alone. You can't comprehend what we're saying, and you're putting words in our mouths. Nobody said all of our backup LBs would start at PSU. We said Marcus Freeman would, but he's not a backup.

You just love being hypocritical. You're bashing us for liking our LBs, yet in every post you spew out this foul text about how your backup LBs are all four star players and are better than our LBs. You're doing what you keep saying we're doing.
bingo.gif

I can't help myself...it's the weed, well that and Ohio State posters who think they have two of the best LBs this decade. That is wonderful.
Yes, no one outside of OSU-hating valley thinks Hawk and Laurinaitis were elite LBs :roll1:

Your comprehension is excellent. Why do you think the thread was split off? Because I responded to this from S&G:

1. Just made me laugh when he said he was worried about depth issues at Penn State and then you look at our depth chart. Its really night and day our second and third stringers could start there. No knock on Penn State but thats the kind of talent we have here.

2. Where if he went to Penn State i would be surprised if he didn't start next year for them. Don't get me wrong i think he will end up with S&G but even with us graduating three senior starters our depth is far superior to Penn State

So let me see if I can "comprehend". Ohio State posters take offense to me saying Bell would start at tOSU, but I take exception to someone saying they would be surprise if Bell wasn't a starter as a freshman at Penn State and I'm the one who doesn't understand. LOL. "Our second and third stringers could start there".

No they couldn't. As I've already said, Terry and the reoccurring injuries he suffers would be sitting on the bench - if you can't stay healthy enough to be on the field you are not going to continue to get your job handed back to you. I will now allow you guys to contemplate all of this while you tell yourselves that A.J. Hawk, Bobby Carpenter, and a collegiate player have been better than two LBs who broke the all-time tackles record at Penn State in back-to-back years as well as LaVar Arrington. I've enjoyed this, took me about 25 seconds to type and I had some time to waste...always fun to screw around with those on a team specific site who think they can claim titles given to a Universities football program.

I stand corrected in regards to your first two points.

And I've already stated my opinion in regards to your last point. You're a PSU fan, you think PSU LBs are better. Us OSU fans think our overall talent is better, which would take tackles away. Numbers and records are not necessarily indicative of talent. I'm not really trying to argue about which team is LB U. My main argument is about current depth.

Um, recurring? Terry played in 12, 12, and 13 games the previous 3 seasons. Speaking of injuries, how about that rookie year for the Poz?

I like how you created your own argument there.

Seriously, what was the point in that? What justifications do you have for doing it? I see nobody calling Bell the best recruit out of PA, and I don't see anyone claiming that he's a better athlete than Arrington. So you make that argument, then defend your side. You're arguing with yourself!

I'm getting my arguments mixed up...but YES. I've seen tOSU posters on Hineygate and other Ohio State sites say that Pryor is already above Arrington and he hasn't even played a college down yet...AND I've seen an Ohio State poster reference college coaches he has spoke with that have said Bell rivals Arrington and Ray Lewis. I feel like defending the greatness that was LaVar Arrington and the fact that he was a Pennsylvania produced product that went on to Penn State and many high accolades. I know Ohio State has excellent LBs - the whole idea I have been refuting this entire time is that Ohio State LBs who HAVE NOT SEEN THE FIELD are somehow better than the respective Penn State LBs who HAVE NOT SEEN THE FIELD YET! Look at the recruiting classes, second and third string Ohio State LBs would not be close to starting at Penn State. I've specifically pointed out 'S&G' in the majority of my posts. LMFAO!!!!!

I believe I made my point and articulated it quite well, the point being that as far as the future is concerned it is close. It is quite hard to argue LBs against LB U. I guess when tOSU pulls Bell out of Western PA we will be hearing all about how he is a better athlete than LaVar Arrington and is the best recruit to ever come out of Pennsylvania. Might want to read up on some of the PA & Pennsylvania greats to play at Penn State...
Someone needs to grow some thicker skin, and stop inventing boldfaced lies to add to your mountain of hyperbole. Find me ONE post declaring him the best recruit to come out of PA in the past two years, let alone all-time. Pretty stupid comment to make on the heels of Pryor.
Your comprehension is excellent.
And yours is absolutely horrendous.
Why do you think the thread was split off?
It was split off because you couldn't stomach OSU homerism on an osu board. Such outrage! You must get very tired on this rampage for justice, unless somehow we're fortunate enough to be the sole focus of your crusade.
So let me see if I can "comprehend". Again you cannot. Not only did you dismiss all of OSU backups as unworthy to hold off a true frosh, but you relegated 2 of our starting LBs (both who started in 06) to likely 3rd string duty... without even knowing who the other one was...

and then had the gall to turn around and complain about our bias and lack of familiarity with your precious backups. Do you not see the hypocrisy there? Or are you just here to stir up trouble?
No they couldn't. As I've already said, Terry and the reoccurring injuries he suffers would be sitting on the bench - if you can't stay healthy enough to be on the field you are not going to continue to get your job handed back to you.
And yet you STILL can't seem to discuss the other premiere LB at OSU, Marcus Freeman, because you seem to know nothing about him, not even his name.

So again, why should we take your opinion seriously at all on this subject?
Let alone allow you to scold some of us for only respecting/knowing our own team, when you're guilty of the same thing?

Well that's your fault for listening to people who actually want to try and compare Pryor & Arrington. They're two completely different athletes, playing two completely different positions, you fuck. Why would you even start an argument based on that? Go back to your 'White Out' board and stay there.

seriously guys.....they have 4 star recruits. obviously they're good.

i love how you tout the stars of players like AJ Wallace, who have done nothing in college........BUT THEY HAD 4 STARS!!!!!!!

Well hell if I have to listen to Ohio State posters constantly bringing up Eugene Clifford, Jemario sp? O'Neal, Terrelle Pryor, Brandon Saine, Boom Herron, about 5 WRs who have never seen the field, about 5 LBs who have never seen the field why not? Not in this thread specifically...but don't pretend you aren't one of them...YOU KNOW YOU ARE. In addition, any Glenville kid that comes to Ohio State is going to be a 1st round draft pick...preordained. I constantly go back and fourth with Ohio State posters on numerous forums...

But on this one? No, then shut the hell up. If we come to your board please shut us up. But this is our board and we'll talk about our players as we please.

So your way of refuting this is by saying the same exact thing about Penn State players? It's retarded if an OSU fan says OSU LBs would start over PSU's, but it's not retarded if a PSU fan says the same exact thing?

PS (for the four millionth time) - Recruiting rankings don't mean squat. Just saying you have a 4 star LB on the bench doesn't mean anything to us. It's worthless. Stop repeating it as if it automatically makes him good.

This is easily your worst post yet, and that's saying something. You're seriously throwing someone else's comments in our face?

Either take your childish exchange of hyperbole back to THOSE boards, or learn how to have a debate with what WE say.

I've just been watching this argument from the sidelines, and I have to admit that you just made me poop in my pants from fear of the paw...

Excuse me while I go clean up. Be right back...

:moo: Country!
