Matta Signs Four Standouts

OSU Head Coach Thad Matta has signed four players to letters of intent.
They include guard William Bufford from Toledo, Ohio, Center B. J. Mullens from Columbus, Ohio, guard Walter Offutt from Indianapolis, Indiana and guard Anthony "Noopy" Crater from Flint, Michigan.
Bufford is a 6-6 guard who averaged 28 points, 12 rebounds and three assists last season will helping Toledo Libby to a 19-1 record. He earned first-team All-State recognition as a junior and was second-team All-State his sophomore season when he averaged 22.7 points per game and 10 rebounds per game.
Mullens, a 7-0, 260 pound center, averaged 26 points per game for Canal Winchester as a junior and scored 25 or more points 14 times with 30 or more seven times.

Toledo Libbey (7-1) is No. 4, Canal Winchester (10-1) No. 6, Chillicothe (7-1) No. 9 and DeSales (9-2) No. 11 in Division II. ? St. Edward reached a Division I semifinal in 2007. ? DeSales advanced to the Division II final four the past two seasons. ? Northland and Newark each won Central District titles in 2007.

Northland 6-4 guard Devon Moore and Newark 6-3 guard Greg Avery are highly regarded unsigned seniors. ? Warren Harding 6-4 guard Desmar Jackson is a hot junior recruit in basketball and football. ? Lakewood St. Edward senior forward Delvon Roe, a preseason favorite to win Ohio's Mr. Basketball Award who is headed to Michigan State, is out for the season after microfracture surgery on his right knee. ? Sullinger and 6-2 guard Nick Kellogg of DeSales are the top two sophomores in Ohio, according to most ratings services.

tomorrow is going to be a fun day with getting to see BJ, Sullinger, and Buford all in the same day...
It is too bad that Buford isn't going to get to match up with St. Ed's at their full stregth with them missing Roe...
