Sorry but the nations longest winning streak goes to #1 ranked ND with 18 in a row.

Keep Trying.

It's talking out-right victories, not ties which the domers had against Lake Superior, and Western. Although the CCHA is using the shoot-out this year the winning team gets 2 points, and the losing team gets 1 point. Still counted as a tie on your record. The Domers have a 8 game winning streak so yes the article is correct with the buckeyes having the longest winning streak in the nation.

I almost forgot but would like to give a shout out to Erick Belanger, and Nick Biondo who weren't dressed for Saturdays Game against BG. They sat about 3 seats from me and were into the game the whole time. It's pretty cool to see this team cheering for each other and wanting to win.

They both high fived me when Kyle Reed got the goal in OT. Just goes to show the chemistry this team has cheering for each other, and that they want/expect to win.

The upcoming weekend series with the domers and The Dynasty* are looming large. It will be a good test of this young Ohio State team's mettle to go up against two programs which have been on historical highs for the last couple of seasons.

Hey, they choose to invest in hockey and not football and basketball. They only have one sport that their Harvard caliber student athletes can get an exception into.

For my money Ohio State hockey is one of the most underrated entertainment values in this city. It's easy to great seat to a game at the Schott for a portion of what sitting in the lower bowl of Jackets game would cost. Plus you can tell the players really loving getting some enthusiasm from the home crowd.

Senior has emerged just in time for Buckeyes

For three seasons, Corey Elkins' Ohio State hockey career mirrored his team's fortunes.
Too often, he was injured. Too often, he underachieved.

Now, with not a moment to spare, it's clicking for Elkins -- and the Buckeyes.

Ohio State is riding a 12-game unbeaten streak heading into a Central Collegiate Hockey Association game tonight against last-place Western Michigan in Value City Arena. The teams also play Saturday.

Elkins, a senior center, leads the Buckeyes (16-6-2) with 26 points, including 10 goals. A year ago, Elkins had only two goals and three assists in 25 games.

"There was a lot of urgency over the summer," Elkins said. "I knew the kind of year I wanted to have. It's the kind of year I wanted to have the past few years, but things happened different this year."
