That was pure speculation on the writer's part. No one has confirmed it's covid nor would they.

What (or why) is there to even speculate? He'll be back when's he's back. What does speculating accomplish?

Also, my sources say he is currently working as a CIA operative and he'll be back when his mission is complete.
