Without the background, one would certainly wonder how some podunk town with a public school that graduates about 120 a year is competing with massive private schools like Blair Academy and St. Edwards. They were always solid but were really set up when Jim and Jeff Jordan both won 4 state titles back in the 80s. Jeff came back and quickly established himself as the nation's best coach (or at the very least top 3). He runs a camp where you get "Jordan Trained"...it is the Jordan State Champ Camp and the goal is to build state champion wrestlers. All the top kids in the country go to the camp and it is a no frills hell week but is the best there is. Inevitably, the kids go to the camp and realize what 4 years of tutelage under Jeff Jordan can do and end up transferring there. I believe it has been awhile since we've had a transfer in high school, but it used to happen with frequency (I was one of them). However, a lot of kids transferred early on and have been training with Graham their whole lives. That is what David Taylor did (he was from Wyoming).
