What is the rule on redshirting? Would Davino be allowed to wrestle once or twice and still be able to keep it? I thought I read that there was a 4 match limit, but I might be mistaken. I like where your head is at MPhillips! I tend to agree with your assessment. I’m intrigued by the Rogotzke match. Gabe might be a little too beefy for Ryder, but Gabe has wrestled some close matches recently.

Davino has matches he can wrestle. Rogotzke is 2-0 against Arnold, but that was HS. Arnold can control a match, Rogotzke is still getting there.

Still undefeated and in the Top 5 I see. Isn't that a bit of overachieving so far from where everyone thought we would be this year?

PSU is a freaking juggernaut unfortunately. Blech
To me they have wrestled better than I expected mostly due to Rocco and Davino redshirting. We've had some pretty nice dual wins. That said, we have the real gauntlet of duals coming up now and that will be more telling. Also, not sure we are as good of a tournament team as a dual team, so probably a year where we enjoy the dual meet wins.

Well, rats. Rogotzge had a shot there in SV and just couldn’t make it happen.
He wrestled pretty well despite the loss, some really good scrambles and ties that he just barely missed a couple opportunities. I feel like he will get that match back at the B1G in a neutral setting.

Overall I thought the team wrestled well but it is always hard to win at the Carver and it always plays a factor. We needed McCrone (that was the most critical one to me starting off right at 125 for some momentum heading into what turned into two incredibly decisive tech falls at 133/141 with Davino and Mendez) or Ryder to pull off their matches absent unexpected bonus points, and then I think Feldman may win if there is a chance to win the dual. Momentum is important in a dual just as much as football, basketball and most sports. Tough loss but can't say I am surprised, just thought it would a little more narrow.

Positives are that Davino looked great and even though his guy was unranked, you just see the insane potential he has, going to be a star here for sure. Mendez teched a ranked opponent with ease. Kharchla is finally healthy and everyone needs to watch out for him to make a run at the B1G/Nationals, he has looked excellent since coming back into the lineup. Feldman wrestled well but he faces the unfortunate reality that most of his opponents are much bigger than he is at HWT.

Lets bounce back and beat ttun next weekend.

I think the announcers said OSU hasn’t won at Iowa since 1929?
