If Demas can get any shred of consistency, it will really help this team out come NCAA time. Good win though, it'll be nice when Hunter returns.

And biting was a little too common at the high school level (kid bit me once and lost a tooth in the most brutal crossface known to man...ref saw the bite right before I did it so he DQ'ed the other kid ). But that is the first I've ever heard of that nonsense at the college level.

Demas was leading 4-3 with 10-15 seconds left in the match when Jones got the winning TD. Seems like it was a good match (without being able to watch, thanks for not doing video MSU). Seems like he is very close to getting to that next level.

No Heflin - hope it's nothing serious, but another great job by Joe Grandominico to keep it to a decision.

Johnni was up 13-5 when Olanowski got DQd. MSU lost 2 team points as well, a 4 point swing.

Overall seemed like a strong match. Of the four losses, two were backups and one was a near upset.

Sorry I'm behind, tivoed Penn St and just watched....hard to find on B10 network.....Cael Sanderson still looks like he could go 139-1 (or whatever #) from what I could see him on the bench. Too much firepower in Penn St. Glad to read that OSU overcame a MSU lead to beat them....hope that keeps our #5 alive.

Also just wanted to congratulate OSU for their first in 30 year win against Iowa......sounds like the 'worm has turned' at least for this year. Wrestling is gonna contribute many points to the Director's Cup for OSU, along with mens and women's bball, synchro, and dare I say it, baseball.....ahhhh, it's a great time to be a Buckeye....

Regarding the Olanowski biting situation:

Just spoke to John DiJulius Sr., and he asked me to relay on this forum that Johnni DiJulius is 100% certain that the bite was inadvertent and unintentional on the part of Olanowski. According to DiJulius (who ought to know), it was more of a situation where he cross faced him incredibly hard while Olanowski's mouth was open, and his arm got caught in Olanowski's mouth awkwardly.

If you've ever run a cross face cradle (and this was my move when I wrestled btw) you understand how this can happen- if there is anything that resembles a bite, it would only be an accidentally defense mechanism on part of your opponent to getting his face raked hard and your teeth driven upward. The idea that Olanowski just intentionally went out and bit him him canine-style is preposterous.

Johnni wanted me to post something because he felt bad that people are assuming that Olanowski bit him intentionally and wanted to clear things up- in fact, it was so unintentioanl that he was completely confused as to why Olanowski was disqualified.
