Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

One of the biggest issues I have with Coach McGuff’s teams are the issues under the hoop with rebounding. It bites them in big games. Recurring theme it seems. Hopefully they right the ship or it could be another upset early exit in the tournament.

And still don't read anywhere about the WBB team recruiting size. If tOSU got outrebounded by 20 against Maryland, what do you think will happen when some of the southern teams lace 'em up against us? McGuff specializes in guards, and guards, and guards. He comes up way short in the big area. Mika can bring their big outside with her shooting (when she hits), but is woefully inadequate in the paint rebounding. Maryland sent three semi-bigs inside all game. Cotie can make an impact when she's around the hoop, and Thierry isn't stout enough to bang, but is very good around the edges, or sliding inside. The one freshperson coming up is tall, but built along Mika's lines. OK, we've seen what happens when the Buckeyes shoot cold, and it wasn't pretty. Never seen a game where Jacy was kept under wraps, and when she did get semi-open, she wasn't squared up, and missed. Utter misery watching that game. Here's to a good dance. I'd take Sweet sixteen right now.

Saw the rematch with Uconn, and have to believe they'll be licking their revenge chops. Buechtler (sp?) is lacing them up this season, and playing at a high level. Once tOSU gets by Uconn, they'll maybe get a revenge game against USC, and their wunderkind freshwoman. would be a sweet way to dance into the Final Four. We may never see a collection of Buckeye players this talented again, so enjoy!
