Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Very good game. Each team had it's share of runs, and 24 for Rutgers was a phenom. No one could guard her. Her game winner put Crooms in a popcorn machine, as she stopped, Crooms kept going, jumped up, avoided a block by Juhaz, and hit the bottom of the cords. Thought tOSU played gritty throughout, and caught back up, forged a lead, and then.....played not to lose, instead of win. Thought there was some questionable substitutions during the latter part of the game, putting in two slow players. Liked the way tOSU played, and look forward to seeing how far they can go in the Big Dance. Go Bucks!

Absolutely a joy to watch. And to watch the ladies enjoying themselves. Wow, so many weapons. Wonder about the tinkering of the line-ups during the game.....sometimes surprised by the mix of skills out on the court. I like that McGuff is playing a deep bench (9-10) or more? girls, especially with 8 newcomers. Maybe it's who the opponent is, but there were waaaay to many Purduettes dribbling through for easy lay-ups. Too many slow-footed tOSU players on the floor at one time? Kiersten is a force, plain and simple. Believe she's gotta be 'harnessed' to play within a set offense. Most all of those players were recruited because they score 25+ points a game, but at this level, they cannot each and every game do that, and it appears (to me at least), Kiersten (and a couple others), look to shoot first. 20+ point win is wonderful, but there are always teaching points to be had. Go Bucks - put a big dent in the B10 brackets.
