Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

Much ado about nothing. Unfortunate.

You have a “screen-ager” on her phone paying no attention to their surroundings. Clark deserves some protection from stadium staff. But she simply braces for impact. Then I’m sure was shook up as more are stampeding.

The big thing to me? Credit #1 Rikki Harris for stopping her celebration and turning back to help CC. Amazing compassion in the heat of the moment, which says worlds about her character.

(Also, some security guard then shoves Rikki…wtf?? Chaos. Be better, every one)

Oh, for fucks sakes. From the video, it looks like the fan would have missed Princess Clark completely if she hadn't gone out of her way to hit her. It's all clear to me now why LSU was so pissed . I understand now, Clark is a fucking smug jerk.

Well the visiting team should have protection from this sort of interaction. I wouldn't say either of those ladies did anything terribly wrong, but OSU is in the wrong here. Clark shouldn't have to try to avoid fans running onto the court. She should have a line of security separating her team from fans that leads to the locker room. I realize the plan was for security to help, but OSU was too slow to get them out there and organized. This is something they need to improve on as a university. But yeah the one person who clearly did wrong was the guy shoving the OSU player.

I honestly think Clark wasn't paying attention saw it at the last moment and braced.

The only real issue I have with the video outside of the usher Pushing Harris. Is the on her phone person rushing the crowd never going back to check on her and apologize for running into her.

Are we watching two different videos? The fan was not going to hit Clark, Clark was not running, Clark did not "brace" she pushed. then flopped. I'm honestly not seeing what you're seeing.

And don't get me started with phones, it passed insanity years ago. But that's a strange stance to take to assign blame.

Check the full speed video above. Absolutely running. It’s an innocent collision.

Yes we are. On the close up from behind Clark is clearly running back looking towards the Bench. She turns her head a few steps away and see's the fan. At that point there are 2 interpretations.

1. She's frustrated and brings up her arms to take a shot at a fan she doesn't change her course and gives and extra shove while getting knocked over possibly embellishing the fall.

2. She doesn't think she has enough time to avoid brings up her arms to brace while trying to slide off to the right side.

Only Clark really knows what was going through her head there.

I just come from an era when you plow into someone like that by accident you check up on them and apologize whether you were fully at fault or not. She just vaguely looks back then continues about her way like nothing happened. That bothers me.

Ok, agree to disagree. But I will end with this: last year I was kind of surprised that the LSU player (Reese, I think?) went so far out of her way to taunt Clark. I thought, "what a classless act". But now, I kinda understand. She sent that fan sprawling. I didn't see any jarring hit on Clark that should result in her falling down like she did. Quite frankly, it looked like a flop. Just my opinion.

Tough day for Clark, getting trucked by a court stormer. She said at the presser that she's okay.

If I was there, I'd have tried to truck Jacy.

On a serious note, it might be time to put an end to court and field storming. I've done it, but the risks outweigh any "fun for the kids" arguments. My lawn...get off it you must.
