Ohio State Women's Basketball (2023-24 B1G CHAMPS)

In her lone season at Kentucky, Cambridge appeared in 19 games and averaged 2.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per contest. Her season-high totals included nine points and three steals against Ole Miss and eight rebounds and three assists against Georgia. Cambridge entered the transfer portal after the Wildcats lost to Tennessee 80-71 in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.

Cambridge is the third transfer addition this offseason for Ohio State, along with Taylor and Parks. Taylor comes to Columbus after a first-team All-ACC season for Duke in which she also received ACC Defensive Player of the Year recognition, while Parks will wear the scarlet and gray after four seasons as a solid interior presence averaging 7.1 points and 5.5 rebounds for the Michigan State Spartans.

While Taylor and Parks are expected to impact the Buckeyes immediately as starters, Cambridge will enter her sophomore season as guard depth for Ohio State after the program lost guards Kaitlyn Costner, Mya Perry and Hevynne Bristow to the portal this offseason.

Is Parks by chance the sister of the guy coming in to the boys current recruiting class?
I'll take a wild ass guess here and say no......

“YOU CAN TELL BY WHEN YOU WALK IN THE GYM, JUST THE ATMOSPHERE. IT FEELS LIKE A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM ONCE YOU STEP ON THE COURT, ONCE YOU STEP IN THE LOCKER ROOM.”– CELESTE TAYLOR ON OHIO STATE

But more than anything, she hopes to contribute to the winning culture that she and Taylor have experienced in spades since entering the program this offseason.

“The energy and the vibe is there. This place gives off (a great) energy. It's a standard and an expectation, and we're just happy that we have the opportunity to be in this,” Parks said. “So I just feel like it's gonna be good for us.”

It's going to be interesting to see how these stars blend in with the existing players/stars on the team. As well, how the existing 'second level' players take to being pushed down for minutes. Pretty certain I wouldn't care for it much. Also looks like there are multiple year transfers coming into the Schott for us. Can see that there has been some talent added in places where has been weakness, as well as addition(s) to the Buckeye full-court press. Hopefully there will be more fans in the stands for WBB at tOSU. Go Bucks!

I plan on being there as much as possible

Bestbuck, if the Dookie xfer can hold Clark to 20, we'll be alright. What worries me are Clark's assists. Sure she accounted for 30+ last time, but her what, 22 assists, accounted for 44 points for Iowa. Thinking that with the MSU xfer, a more mobile center will be able to seal off the basket, more or less, and force the game outside. tOSU has the horses, mares in this case, to create turnovers and easy layups. Like the lineup, hope that the coaches can play the pieces correctly.

It's been a slow news day. Sooo, replayed the Uconn vs Jacy/Taylor Sweet 16 game on the tube. Still yelled at the 12-2 score (Uconn), and some of the fouls that Uconn got away with. Wifey laughed because I was so wound up, even though knew the outcome. Looking at what tOSU lost (basically Taylor Mikesell), but gain another guard for their vaunted press, plus another presence inside (Dorkas got too many easy buckets), am starting to drink the kool aid regarding going farther in the Dance. Of course, many things have to happen, especially no heavy duty injuries to the starters, blending in of the transfers to the culture that exists, and coaching staff throwing out the ball and saying 'Just play and win, baby". Love to see it, last championship since the next Ohio State coach (Katie Smith) lost to Tex Tech and Sheryl Swopes what, 42 points? Go Bucks!

We're going to be improved on the size so that's a huge break. The key to me is if Maddie can actually come back and be herself. That will be a huge part of the 3 guard system and the Defense wont drop off.
