You asked if we did anything that would help us beat Penn State. Then you say you're only talking about the backups. So I guess the answer you're looking for is.....you're right. If we trot out our 2nd and 3rd string against Penn State we probably will lose by a good margin.

You want to see the game plan against UNLV that is going to beat PSU 3 games and a bye from now? That's just silly talk.

game plan for the entire game in regards to working towards PSU. Back ups really hurt the momentum.

Should've just said that.

Practice for the backups was more valuable than your surge theory. Urban backs me up on that one. Nobody said football players like yourself were the smartest of the bunch. Keep clutching onto your cliche beliefs though, maybe they'll keep you warm at night.

I'm saying our gameplay was disappointing for the starters because that's not a game plan I think we go with for big ten games. We won't throw the ball 40 times a game, and we won't go for it twice around the 5 yard line.

For the back ups it's good for them it really is when it comes to them playing but that doesn't mean they can't kill all momentum we had from earlier in the game because they did.

I'm pretty sure we treated this game as a playing opportunity for the back ups but that's all I really gathered.

I'm quite happy that Ohio State was able to get a lot of people in the game at home. As ORD said, not a plunger. You dont learn a lot from teams at this level. So, from halfway through the second quarter, this was a scrimmage. Ohio State is not going to be working linearly to produce a game plan for PSU. This game was what itvalways was going to be. A bit of progress and saving the 1s from unnecssary hits and injuries. Ticked most of my boxes.
