Game Thread Ohio State vs UNLV, 09/23/17 @ 12:00 ET (BTN)

Jesus Christ no wonder no one visits here as much... if a person says something critical it's like punching baby Jesus.

And obviously you never played football with not understanding that YES beating a [Mark May]ty team LIKE THEY'RE A [Mark May]TY TEAM most defiantly gives a team a carry over effect.

I'm saying our gameplay was disappointing for the starters because that's not a game plan I think we go with for big ten games.

So throwing short crossing routes to our superior athletes when teams load the box to stop the run is something you don't think we will see later and shouldn't be practicing?

We won't throw the ball 40 times a game, and we won't go for it twice around the 5 yard line.

Probably not but why not get the practice against a team like UNLV?

You are arguing a couple of different things here and they just don't make sense to be honest

Practice for the backups was more valuable than your surge theory. Urban backs me up on that one. Nobody said football players like yourself were the smartest of the bunch. Keep clutching onto your cliche beliefs though, maybe they'll keep you warm at night.
So the Indians won 22 in a row for the he'll of it? Confidence and momentum had nothing to do with it?

Guys if you don't agree with me fine but lay off the insults or the digs. I know my thoughts aren't popular but that doesn't mean you have to take this so personal. I can deal with back and forth but no need to slight me personally

One is a professional baseball team coming off of a WS appearance (the first in 2? decades), the other is college football team with much to improve on considering the OC we've had to deal with the last 2 years. Awful comparison.

The gameplay and the amount of throw i consider the same issue. If we aren't going to do this against PSU then not sure what good this kind of throwing game plan will accomplish down the road.

I'm not trying to be insulting or anything. I just disagree with you. I didn't need to see the team and game plan that will beat PSU a month from now. I want to watch this team grow into that over the next three games and be amazed by a game plan that just kills PSU after a bye week.

I didn't get to see much of the game, but I'm surprised there is any talk of running up the score. It was 44-7 at half with the backups already playing in the 2nd.

Ended up scoring 10 more points. That's not a big deal, even if you threw a lot and just didn't convert. UNLV is playing big boy football. They should feel lucky the final wasnt 72-10.

It's ok to disagree I know this isn't a popular opinion i have.

I think we have struggled to find an identity on offense for some time now and throwing the ball the way that we did just doesn't accomplish as much as we could have done.

It's so hard to get a feel for what we are on offense. Every game is so awkward to me right now. One game we may run Dobbins 20 times, the next we run JT 20 times, the next we run RPO Literally all day, and then today we kind of air it out.

Then you bitterly disagree with reality because here is 2 of 3 plays you claim showed the dline wasn't up to snuff.

Could be more our style up front but you can't get sealed at DT to give them those lanes. Defensive line is every bit as responsible for those that the back 7 is.

Theyre backups tho its how it goes sometimes. Just sucks we couldn't go into the next game really rolling.

It`s unfortunate that the OU game was scheduled where it was because I think Wilson is trying to figure out who the offense is and what guys can do. Hopefully by PSU he knows what it all looks like.
