If I recall correctly, during his first year here opponents set an Ohio State record for the number of ST plays returned for TD. For whatever reason, his system isn't working.

He seems to refuse to allow the kicker to kick the ball through the endzone, for whatever reason.

Our coaches don't/won't trust JT to run a true downfield passing game, so we are relegated to running 3 variations of the bubble screen.

We're not going to run every play, so I don't see that changing

I didn't like clock management at end of half. It was 1st and 15 after delay.

Then it was 2nd and 20 after the kneel down. Still 25 seconds.

Take a timeout.

Penn State runs on 3rd down. We call TO with approximately 19 seconds.

PSU now has to punt from deep enough in their territory it makes KJ Hill dangerous.

That was botched by Meyer, IMO.

Penn State is not winning this game OSU is losing it with terrible special teams and a fumble. If we can clean things up and play our offense we can win this game. It would also help for the DEs to play contain rather than rushing 10 yards deep and letting McSorely step up and kill us with his feet. Focus and pound the ball.

Screen passes have resulted in one positive play, a net yardage in the negative, and a fumble. Yet are still a large number of the first half play calls. Hopefully SOMEBODY gets that fixed. And no, I don’t mean fix it by continuing to call it.

Even if they can only reliably reach/exceed it 50% of the time, that's a lot less risk. Tell them to put everything behind it, keep the coverage unit coming just like a short kick and if it doesn't reach the end zone, it can't be any worse than it already is, and if it does then great, we dodge a bullet.
