Game Thread Ohio State vs Oklahoma, 09/09/17 @ 7:30 ET (ABC)

You've literally bragged about the same four things since you registered here. Best QB, Best TE, Best O-line, Best Offensive Mind, without acknowledging legitimate rebuttals to the same 4 points you continuously run circles around. You've provided next to nothing in terms of rational thought, including your final score prediction, which is completely insane to think any team will put up 50+ points against a team as talented as Ohio State. You've convinced yourself the Buckeyes are no different than fucking UTEP. So again I ask you, do you realize how absolutely insane that sounds?

Well then we are fucked. Army ran up 66 points on UTEP last year. I hope our guys aren't looking ahead.

Our secondary is still better without Jordan Parker. Curtis Samuel had a ton of momentum changing plays in that game... He will be deeply missed for you guys
I would hope so as they were vintage B12 defenders against OSU last year, though I'm not sure how you'd know that so soon this year.

Parris is every bit of the burner that Samuel is, particularly on jet sweeps where his inconsistent hands are not an issue. Indiana got another helping of Parris' speed for the second straight year.

OSU was a 1 person offense (Curtis) for most of last year, except when they faced bad defenses.

JK Dobbins has provided a pretty huge spark to the running game, though Weber ran all over OU last year.

OSU has plenty of talent on offense, it's about how consistent they are through the air (reads, accuracy, routes, hands). Again, against bad defenses JT was lights out (usually). Against average (to better) ones, he struggled a lot in the three headed clown show that was the Warriner/Beck/Meyer system.

Good one. Myopic. That's like the 4th time you've used that. Pretty myopic of you

And look at your buddies.. claiming things that aren't true while throwing lame insults. Quite the group of football intellects you guys have around here (cringe)

See you on gameday, unless you run away after the 1st half like i expect

Second time. See I can use polysyllabic words and count.
I'm not on the Football team; therefore, I won't be running anywhere.
Congratulations on coming to an opponents forum and representing your team with such class and football acumen.

Which is why OU matches up well with y'all. We have the front 5 to help nullify OSUs best strength. I don't know if OU has a championship defense yet, but we damn sure have a championship offense. Do the Buckeyes?

Maybe. Maybe not. But it does not require a championship caliber offense to beat OKie in the Shoe. Only a championship caliber defense (check) and an offense that need score only one more point than OU (check).

If things haven't changed, and I don't think I've seen evidence to the the contrary, what is considered defense in the BigXII is more or less what we see in the Midwest and would compare to a MidAmerican school defense. Yes, you may have some players... but the discipline and depth has been lacking in your league for the better part of this millennium.

You'll get your points, but not enough.

Ummm.. Jeff Badet is a proven receiver in college football. Lamb is a budding star.. and all of our guys are sure handed and have YAC abilities. And I'm not sure if you've heard of Abdul adams.. he's pretty damn good. Plus we have trey sermon and flowers to change things up.. our running game is fine, especially behind our monster O-line. You'll see

I knew it

You're a closet Illinois fan

Welp, I could see this game going either way. The Buckeyes aren't as bad as they looked in the first half, and probably not as good as they looked in the fourth quarter. Who knows what you've got in Oklahoma. UTEP is not going to reveal much. Baker Mayfield is a talented QB and the Buckeye DBs are young. I think it's going to be a dogfight.

I think it might be too, and I think our showboating visitors might learn that some folks here feel that way, except they're too busy being ridiculous and can't talk football.
