Game Thread Ohio State vs Oklahoma, 09/09/17 @ 7:30 ET (ABC)

We beat OU last year with JT at QB.

Different defense. Different wide receivers. Different OC. Same QB.

Holds the ball too long? He didn't at OU last season. Could it be the receivers aren't open?

Nah, blame the QB. It's the easiest thing, so it has to be right. :roll1:
Last year? OK. This year he holds the ball too long, delivers it too late and telegraphs his throws.

Where is the "Greatest Ever D Line" ? I guess with the right game plan, it does not matter...

You leave the D out there this long over and over, trenches will always get gassed.
Arguably we should have enough depth but it is what it is. If O cant get 1st downs, D will eventually snap. Esp the DL. Its why whole NFL teams are built around power run with stout D knowing it will pay in the 2nd half.

Congrats Oklahoma! Ohio State needs a qb and a pass rush.

Interesting both Tressel and Meyer won a NC when they weren't supposed to. But when they were rated at the top or near the top before the season have come up short.
That is all ...

It's really hard to win a title...and playoffs skew things (heck 14 we would've been in the Rose Bowl w/o a title chance) but how often did we get humiliated at home then? I really only remember one awful loss at home under JT, and that was 2004 Wisconsin in the last Zwick game. Texas and USC were last minute losses, and we were the lower-ranked team in both games. PSU 08 was an inexperienced Pryor and we had plenty of chances to win that game.

I just think the perpetual Meyer hype machine that he seems to enjoy (and many of us, too) is what really gets us down a lot more.
