Warriner didn't promote himself, and he didn't fire himself for giving himself too much responsibility. That shit is ALL on Urban. He didn't replace his OC. he promoted two position coaches.

Let's talk about all the MENSA jokes. Does anyone on this board REALLY think that Ohio State could beat Texas next week? I sure don't. UT is trending upward. The same cannot be said about the Buckeyes.

Meyer had made some good hires. He's also made some COLLOSALLY bad hires. I used to talk shit about Tressel and Jim Bollman.

Forget about Zach Smith for half a moment, even though Zach Smith was an absolutely TERRIBLE hire. Fucking nepotism.

Greg Strudawa was A TERRIBLE hire. He's a "friend.' fuck this shit. It's not family. It's business.

Billy Davis? This dude has failed at every job he's ever had. But he was in Urban's wedding.

Our defense has steadily gone from one of the most dominate in the country to being one of the worst. I felt like the cracks there in seasons past started with our secondary, then our pass D in general and then infected the LBs and essentially the whole D.

I don't know what to think. All other problems aside, if next year we could get back to the type of defense we've been in the past where most teams felt fortunate if they could put 14 on the board against us it, that alone would make us very difficult to beat outside of a few select programs.

When was this golden age of defense under Meyer?

There were a lot of these posts last night. I've been around enough game threads to not be surprised when posters want to send HOF coaches packing in the heat of the moment, but this offseason has really supercharged these feelings and it feels like many were just waiting for an excuse to unload.

Sober/not stoned me doesn't want to see this team in the CFP, either. The problems that got us beat last night - big plays given up, no running game - didn't just start last night. It's just the worst anyone has exposed them, so far.

There were a lot of these posts last night. I've been around enough game threads to not be surprised when posters want to send HOF coaches packing in the heat of the moment, but this offseason has really supercharged these feelings and it feels like many were just waiting for an excuse to unload.

Big chunk of Buckeye fans aren't happy unless they are miserable. They finally got the loss they have been waiting for all year and now they get spew their vitriol.

Urban Meyer has been at the helm 6 1/2 years now and just suffered his 9th loss. That should serve as perspective for anyone who has some.

Nobody is walking through that door that is going to both out recruit Meyer and win 100% of their games, by an appropriate margin of course, to replace his "inconsistent" 90% win rate......but they seem to think that is both possible and owed to them.

This is the result of the playoff system. 4 teams only really allows for perfection. I'm happy beating *ichigan every year and can take a few losses to consider a season successful. Fans now jump ahead seasons and bitch strength of schedule from a playoff stanpoint. 1 loss and outside chance or 2 loss and no playoff chance mentality is ruining the experience for some. From a coaching standpoint, Saban has far better assistant coaches around him that are all on the same page and clicking. Don't see that here at the moment. Coaches and team not on the same page and look robotic out there.

Which is a testament to Saban because, for the first time in awhile, Alabama had a lot more turnover in their staff than we did.

If the choices are lose to Michigan and make the playoffs, or beat their ass and miss the playoffs but go to a BCS bowl.....then go beat scUM's ass. Let's hope this wakes them up, gives them an edge, and wakes the coaching staff up too. Better to lose now then later. If we beat MSU, scUM, and Wisconsin or Iowa or Purdue or whomever, that's all we can do.
