Game Thread Ohio State @ Purdue - 10/20/18, 7:30PM (ABC)

That is ridiculous. That 2006 team was loaded with highly-rated recruits and NFL draft pics. So was nearly every team after that. Meyer is one of the top-3 recruiters of the modern era, but lets not pretend like Tress was working with a bunch of schlubs. He was a damn fine recruiter himself, and he had some underachieving teams...2008 and 2009 in particular.
I mean as far as QBs go. He had Troy Smith and Krenzel (who else could win a championship with Krenzel?), Boeckman, Pryor, Zwick.

and he committed the venal sin of losing to Purdue

maybe we should bring Cooper back, I mean after all, he was consistent

Given the apparent flareup of health issues due to all the preseason stress, I don't think it would be surprising to anyone, but yeah it would create a lot of noise.

I'm inching closer towards that feeling that he'll step back after the season, though I hope it would be temporary to address his health and get some fire back...as of now.

I think he had esophageal spasms @ Florida which he and wife initially thought was a heart attack. Guess losses greatly affect his health.

I feel like I can guarantee if Tressel ever had a QB like Haskins that team would be undefeated.

Pryor for all his good things threw a terrible ball for the much of his career, remember how much we complained about that? Tressel had Troy Smith and a bunch of nobodys

Needless to say, that's not true......from 2001 to 2010, Tressel had some other pretty good players too, his NFL draft picks:

2010 7 242 Doug Worthington DE Pittsburgh Steelers

This, 1000x’s this.

He seems like a mess- mentally and physically. He is so wound up and it is trickling everywhere. I’m [very much] on record of not being a fan of his sideline demeanor the last 2-3 years- the head down, the frustration and look of fear.

Tonight seemed even weirder. A lot of headset off moments. I’m not sure I can even describe it, but it wasn’t right.

I hope he gets it together- and I mean that beyond X’s and O’s.

And the whole headache thing is concern!
