When did we miss an XP?This could wind up looking like a Big XII game. These offenses are #1 & #2... not in the B1G, but the entire country.

Ped had to go to OT to be ranked 1 though. Got 7 in OT against Appy in the opener. This could wind up looking like a Big XII game. These offenses are #1 & #2... not in the B1G, but the entire country.

You're right, I'd forgot about that. Not missed - I believe it was against TCU, went for 2 instead of kicking the extra point.
The best team they played was App State giving up 180 on the ground and 290 through the air (450 total) with 38 points. Well, we are a step up from them clearly and I wouldn't be shocked if they have trouble adjusting to the step up in competition.I looked at the Pedsters' four wins and noticed a common theme: They start relatively slow on offense production/scoring-wise, and then rev it up in the second half. Here are the points they scored in each game, broken down by halves:
App State: 38 (10 in first half, 28 in second half, 7 in OT)
Pittsburgh: 51 (14 in first half, 21 in 4th quarter)
Kent State: 63 (28 in first half, 25 in second half)
Illinois: 63 (21 in first half, 35 in 4th quarter) score was 28-24 entering the 4th
I also look at who each of their opponents have beaten:
App State, only win is against Charlotte (Gardner-Webb game cancelled by hurricane?)
Pittsburgh, only wins are against FCS Albany and Georgia Tech
Kent State, only win is against FCS Howard
Illinois, only wins are against Kent State and FCS Western Illinois
So, out of six wins by Pedster opponents so far, three of them are against FCS teams, and one against a P5 team that is currently 1-2. At least we've played a team with more than a pulse, and did so in that team's back yard in a primetime nationally-televised game. I think we are more battle-tested than they are, with an obvious talent advantage. If we play solid assignment football on defense, I can see us jumping on them early and never looking back...
