The played @ Cincy in 02 & were scheduled to play there in 12 before buying out the game.
College football is about money. Playing at Nippert would be a major money loser for the Ohio State program.

That's exactly what it is.
At least the program finally has a direction and solid leadership. I can see UC being a lot like Virginia Tech in the next 10 years.
Virginia Tech has Beamer. Kansas State had Snyder. Wisconsin had Alvarez.
Bootstrapping yourself to the next level takes long term coaching stability. UC may find that right guy who's willing to invest the next couple of decades of his life building the UC program. I don't see anything that leads me to believe Brian Kelly is that guy.
Kelly isn't going to be in the 'Nati in 2012 when the Bearcats face Ohio State again, let alone 2018.
Look, I realize you hope UC fails on all levels. Your openning BK comment makes your dislike for this city and its major university obvious. But to constantly knock UC from everything from funding, to yokels on a UC message board is really ugly. So one kid called out OSU...big [censored]ing deal. UC is not on OSU's level and the more you bitch about what the school, the players and the fans do and say makes you sound like...well, like you might be getting a little bit nervous about what's going on in Clifton.
H&G, Clearly ORD has personal issues he needs to work through when it comes to higher education in the State of Ohio but this isn't one you can pin on him...At least two other people have brought up the comments in other threads before ORD's post and the reaction has been the same. The problem here isn't ORD, it's how the folks associated with the UC football program are handling their first small taste of success.
The fans, players & the University of Cincinnati itself have handled themselves in an entirely bush league manner.
Personally I would be embarassed if the institutions I've attended or individuals associated with them behaved in a similar vein. I'd like to think I'd spend more time chastising them with lame old chestnusts like "Act Like You've Been There Before" rather than bend over backwards defending their classless behavior.
If you don't want to be treated like little brother then don't freakin' act like little brother.
