Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 17 Straight B1G Titles)

Wolf has not dropped a set this week, and advanced into the semis with a win over Notre Dame.
Seelig dropped his quarter final singles match vs Illinois no. 1, Brown.
Seelig and Kobelt are on fire. They were fortunate to get entry into main draw as a lucky loser in qualifier but todays match win was straight sets, advancing to the semis in doubles tomorrow.

WHat an amazing day for Buckeye players in Tulsa in Sunday’s semifinal round.
JJ Wolf wins again to advance to the finals on Monday! He will face #1 seed Borges of Old Miss for the 2018 ITA all American championship title
Three other Buckeyes will also be playing tomorrow,
Alex Kobelt and Kyle Seelig won a semifinal round in doubles to advance to the championship round. They will also seek the 2018 ITA all American doubles title on Monday.
John mcNally after losing first round to the #1 seed Borges has taken on a mission to run thru the consolation draw. john had a solid performance today to advance and play Monday in the consolation finals.
In addition to the trophies and titles at the Tulsa ITA tournament, Wolf, Seelig in singles, Seelig, Kobelt in doubles have earned invitations for the prestigious ITA fall national tournament in November.
If McNally wins the consolation round, he would also earn an auto invite.

After coming so close in the 2018 year, wanted to put out this projection...
My way too early forecast of how Buckeye singles lineup may look for 2019 season beginning in January.
Any concerns about losing Torp as the anchor at #1 have been resolved with JJ Wolf devolpment and performance this summer and fall.
McNally will also be solid in the #2 hole. I love his growth from his freshman season and the run through higher ranked opponents to reach the finals in the back draw of ITA all American.
It will be now hard for Tucker to submit a lineup card with Seelig any lower than #3. Kyle will get a boost into top 25-50 ITA ranking range based on his wins at the ITA this fall.
Joyce and Seibert are interchangeable at 4 and 5, with probable nod to the senior at the former. Don’t discount Siebert however as he has a power game that Tucker will mold into championship level.
The number 6 line will come down to Hunter Tubert and the freshman Trotter.
Wild card in this prognostication is the possibility for high school phenom Kingsley as an early enrollment.
Will be fun to watch this team develop. Go Bucks.

This dubs team is an anomaly.
They are not the #1 or even 2nd best OSU pair, Imho at first glance the combination of Kobelt, Seelig looked like a Tucker experiment or opportunity to offer playing time to some veteran players.
They were arguably not deserving to be in the main draw, invited as lucky losers out of the qualies, yet here they are competing for the title....
