Ohio State Men's Tennis (2014/2019/2024 ITA Indoor National Champs, 17 Straight B1G Titles)

Lady Bucks advanced to the quarter finals with a 4-2 victory last night at Stillwater, indoor facility.
Buckeye men's squad will face Texas this morning at 10 am.

I think the streaming is screwed up, I'm pretty sure this guy doesn't play for UVA:

OH-TORPEEGAARD(UVA)*......:lol:

OSU = Oklahoma State
OH = Ohio State

I think you have to look at courts 3, 4, 9, 10. 11, & 12

Major win under extreme pressure for the freshman Martin Joyce today!
Thankful for the additional day of rest for the Bucks,
Torp was cramping at the end of yesterday's match and 0-6 in the 2nd set seems like something is missing.
Senior Chris Diaz was clutch, with a crucial come from behind 1st set and solid 2nd set against a strong player.

Re: In a thrilling match that went down to the wire, the No. 5 ranked Ohio State men’s tennis team outlasted Texas 4-3 on Friday afternoon in the NCAA Championship round of 16. Freshman Martin Joyce, who is undefeated this season, was pushed to the limit on court six but was able to prevail 7-3 in a third-set tie-breaker to provide the clinching point.

Just sayin': Shades of 2013 when Ohio State's #6 guy (Kevin Metka) def. Michael Alford (UF) 6-3, 5-7, 7-6 (10-8):

"Under the lights in Athens Friday night, the Buckeyes had the right guy on their side. Redshirt junior Kevin Metka rallied to force a third set tiebreaker and went on to win a thrilling 6-3, 5-7, 7-6(8) match despite facing two match points to clinch the Ohio State men’s tennis team’s dramatic 4-3 NCAA Round of 16 victory over No. 14 Florida at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex. With the win, the No. 3 seed Buckeyes (33-3) advance to the elite eight and will face No. 6 seed UCLA at 4 pm. Sunday."

Buckeyes doubles lineup
1. Torp/Herkko
2. Ralf/Martin
3. Matt/Hugo

Torp and Herkko finish it off 6-1 on court 1.

Hugo and Matt fall 6-2 on court 3 so the dubs point comes down to court 2.

Ralf and Martin lost 3-6

Cal holds and takes the doubles point. First time the Buckeyes have lost the doubles point in 18 matches

Score: Bucks 0 - Cal 1

Well, as a person who carefully tracks the performance of every program at Ohio State (for 13-15 years), I'm happy with the consistency of the Men's Tennis program.

It (Men's Tennis) is second to Rowing for sports with over 80 participating schools (past 13-15 years).

I'm very happy with the leadership of Ty Tucker. Tough past two days (5/21-22), but good season -- Championship Season -- overall for both Men's and Women's Tennis. Here's to a great 2016-17 season.
