Ohio State Men's Ice Hockey (2019 B1G Champions)

On a brighter note, the women completed their sweep of #1 Wiscy. Both programs are a lock for the tourney. Though last night probably cost the men an outside shot at a one-seed. It's still a possibility, but we'd probably need to win four out of our last five (2@ domer/2@ Minny/1 w Wiscy at home) and then sweep the leg in the BT tournament.

Giving up a lot of power plays. Not gonna gripe about every call (get enough of that in the basketball forum) as some have been pretty obvious - just tackled a guy to prevent a goal. They're putting a lot of pressure on but the Bucks are holding them off, by hook or by crook.

Still in it, down 2-1 with 14+ minutes left.

They're playing tough. At this point, the regular season championship is a foregone conclusion. The Buckeyes are playing for ncaa seeding the rest of the season.

Ugh, just realized Paul Pooley is an assistant coach for ND. He was the man for the Buckeyes my freshman year.

Bucks had a power play chance late but lost, 2-1.

I'm far more annoyed by the 6-3 loss to last place Sparty a weekend ago. Tonight was a good effort against the #1 team, but I hate to lose to ND in anything.

5-1. Buckeyes brought out a plunger for the 3rd period. Sent the domers Hobey Baker finalist goalie to the bench like a little bitch. Scissor Lift's only goal was because they finally broke our power play defense on the eighth try. They lost a heartbreakerr last night and then came out and pimp slapped the number one team in the country on their home ice tonight. This is a frozen four caliber team.

Fredo of Ohio is now reduced to fighting among themselves as to whether their Women's club hockey team is worth taking pride in since everything else sucks. Good times. And I'm thinking of retiring the whole "Fredo of Ohio" thing. Given that they've decided their role in this world is to mine the Chicago suburbs for kids who couldn't get into Big Ten schools, I'm going with Fredo of Naperville.
