I did not know that they played hockey at Arizona State

The No. 10 men’s hockey Buckeyes took care of business on Friday night, defeating the Arizona State Sun Devils by a final score of 6-1. Ohio State had about as good a first period as is possible. The Bucks tallied four goals in a little over five minutes.

Dave Gust led off with his twelfth score of the season. Nick Schilkey and Miguel Fidler followed up with back-to-back power play goals. Kevin Miller put another nail in the Sun Devils’ coffin midway through the frame, striking unassisted.

Upon further review the game ends as a tie. The only reason they went to a shootout is because Ohio State plays in a league that uses shootouts to determine points. When they play a team from outside of the league shootouts officially do not count as a loss or a win. The game ends as a tie.

Something like 80 or 90 million dollars. They built a state of the art hockey only arena and hired top coaches. I predicted it would only take them a few years to pass us by as a program.
