He literally created the concept of Lack Of Institutional Control when he refused a Big Ten mandate to put his foosball program under the control of the university President and faculty. That was the original sin of Lack Of Instutional Control, and tsun was kicked out of the Big Ten until their President could reign in that asshole and comply with conference rules.

So there might be a slight upside to rooting for tsun this weekend. We're almost certainly the 9 seed which puts us in the top seed's bracket, which right now is Minny. If, however, Minnesota loses, and Qpac wins the ECAC tournament, they might flip. I'd have a hell of a lot more confidence in getting out of Qpac's bracket and into the Frozen Four than I would in getting out of Minnesota's.

Well, Qpac lost their semifinal game, so there's no chance of avoiding Minny. At least, I don't have to choke back my own vomit and root for tsun tomorrow night.

As for the NCAA Tournament, it would appear that Fargo is likely set:
1. Minnesota vs. 4. Holy Cross/Canisius Winner
2. St. Cloud State vs. 3. Ohio State

We have to play effin' St. Cloud, and if we win, then face Minny coming off a tuneup game against a team ranked either 43rd or 44th in the pairwise. Dobes had better be riding the heater of all heaters, or our season ends this weekend. Minnesota should be pretty pissed too. Their second game will be against either a conference foe or against a really good, chip-on-shoulder little brother school.

TTUN defeats Minnesota 4-3 to win the B1G tournament title.

We'll see what that means for the Buckeyes, if anything.

Buckeyes begin tournament play on Friday at 2 PM ET. They'll take on Harvard on ESPNU.

Two-seed Quinnipiac and Merrimack round out their pod in Bridgeport, CT.

Minnesota got the top seed, TTUN got the third, and Denver got the fourth. Penn State also made the field (in TTUN's pod).

Great seeding for us. Qpac is, by far, the weakest 1-seed. I don't care what the pairwise says. That's the same pairwise that says the pedsters are a 2 and Ohio State is a 3. Each had roughly the same strength out of conference schedule and same overall record. They tied in head-to-head games during league play. Ohio State finished 3 spots ahead of them in the conference and beat them in the conference tourney. Pairwise isn't the be all and end all. I'd rather be in Qpac's bracket any day than Minny, Denver or tsun.

Now let's go out on Friday and spank the fuck out of some future economy crashing banksters.
