Ohio State Men's Ice Hockey (2019 B1G Champions)

Dobes is streaky, but if he can get on a heater, anything can happen in a single elimination tourney. All that NHL talent really didn't work for Harvard. We turned out to be just as fast as they were, and our size and strength advantage absolutely smothered them all game long. Kind of reminded me of the NC game with Oregon when you could literally feel the fight drain out of the Oregon players as they started to realize that they weren't going to outrun us.

Qpac isn't as talented as Harvard, but they have a ton of 5th year COVID players. It would still be nice though if Merrimack could take them out.

Q'piac allowed the fewest goals in hockey this season, and their #1 goalie got his 10th shutout today. Bucks can't give up much because they're not likely to score a bunch against this team. Only two teams scored more goals than Q'piac as well - TTUN and Minnesota.

While looking up these stats I found it hilarious to see which team conceded the most goals this season - Fredo of Ohio.

When referring to Fredo of Ohio please use the proper term of "college hockey's newest dynasty." Q is not going to be as easy an out as Harvard. Their age and experience worries me. That being said, I think we've proven we can skate with and match talent with anyone in the country. The B1G was a fucking gauntlet this year, and we finished 3rd in it behind two teams loaded with first and second round NHL picks.

tsun up 7-0 on Colgate and continuing the B1G's terms of rampagement through the tournament.

Minnesota 9, Canisius 2
Penn State 8, Michigan Tech 0
Ohio State 8, Harvard 1
TTUN 11, Colgate 1

B1G hockey kicking too much ass to bother taking names. Quinnipiac finished first in the ECAC, but Harvard was 2nd (how did they do today?) and Colgate won the conference tourney. Bucks may have been afforded a kind draw as the ECAC seems overseeded. We'll see.

Minny was the first to play, and their 9-2 game ended up being the close one, it was tied late in the second period.

I doubt the teams can keep up that 9 game a goal average, but if the Buckeyes stay hot that‘s all that matters.

One semifinal is set: Minnesota vs Boston University. Good luck, Terriers.

If the Bucks win tomorrow they'll take on either TTUN or Ped State in the Frozen Four, because of course it's one of those two.

Give me those child ass rapers any day over tsun. We have a one in three chance against tsun, but I think it's 2 in 3 against the pedsters. Need to put on the foil though and come out hard against !QPac tomorrow first.
