Ped State had all the energy late but they got one right at the end.
The OSU D man should have chipped it up the boards where he had numbers, going back behind the net essentially gave Ped State a 2 on 1 right at the net.
47 shots so far. Lots of good hits in the 3rd.
One concerning trend is Ped State has won almost every big face-off so far but it hasn't amounted to much yet.

Overall, a shitty day for Ohio State hockey yesterday. Hopefully, that pedster goalie blew his nut last night, and we can get some goals early. In any event, I'm personally putting a bounty on his head. Put on the foil boys.

They need to generate more shots from the the middle of the zone today.
They had 57 shots yesterday, and yeah one went in from the side a little bit, but the vast majority of those shots were along the boards and/or easily stopped because they were from bad angles.
Winning more than 50% of their faceoffs could be a key too - they were chasing the puck quite a bit in the 1st and 3rd periods especially yesterday.

I'll never fully grasp the pairwise rankings. We soundly beat a higher ranked team on Friday, and both schools move only one spot. We lose to them in overtime on Saturday, and we drop 3 and they jump 2. I know home ice is important, but that makes no sense. In the end, we're solidly a 3 seed at the moment, and I don't think a win tonight will change that. Most likely we need to win in Ann Arbor next weekend to get back into a 2 seed.
