Game Thread Ohio State @ Indiana - 09/14/19, 12:00PM (FOX)

Indiana has exactly 1 player rated ahead of his OSU counterpart - LG Harry Crider .8216 over Rutgers transfer Jonah Jackson .8135.
Nice work. I would like to point out, however, that 247 Sports re-rated Jonah Jackson .9500 as a transfer prospect. So there goes that IU advantage.

I was thinking the same lol... I was thinking but even then obviously they wildly underrated Jackson to begin with.

I actually do expect a fairly tough game but I wouldn't be surprised if we really dominate either.

I really hope Penix plays. Defense could use a good test; our offense scoring shouldn’t be the issue.

Looking for Fields to keep taking care of the ball. Love the way he hasn’t been forcing anything, but I’m also hoping he starts to find the confidence to take a couple shots downfield (if needed).

Well, I think that I've seen that IU thinks that their DBs are the strength of their D. If that's the case, from the passing game, I'd really like to see the O take advantage of their LBs with our TEs... and for Day to get the crossing route game going again. That, and seeing the OL mauling in the running game. I suspect that tOSU could win this game if they threw less passes than Army did against ttun. I wouldn't be as much fun to watch, but I think they totally will dominate both LOS.

Week 3 Brings Changes To Ohio State Depth Chart

Kind of surprised to see 8 "Gr"players on the depth chart. It's good that they are earning their degrees, even though some transferred from other schools, etc.

IU has some good athletes at LB and Husky. I’d be more worried about them getting off blocks than coverage.

Their D-Line is pretty big. 310-350 LB DTs. DEs are athletic. They’ve played well so far. Haven’t seen an O-line like OSU yet though.

I made it very clear that I was not holding those numbers out as some sort of indication that the Buckeyes were sure to win and could not possibly be upset by Indiana. You made a statement about how Indiana "matches up evenly" and I demonstrated that that particular position of yours is not accurate.

I think our Offensive Skill players can matchup with the guys you have on defense. Our issue will be, will we able to get around your O-Line to stop Dobbins and pressure Fields? The answer to that is doubtful. If we can’t do that, you guys won’t punt very much.

Do you have three first-round draft picks at offensive skill? Because if not, that specific discussion basically ends there.

Not to mention IU’s offensive line doesn’t know what it’s fucking with.

You’re more worried about the Ohio State Oline than the D? Which team are you scouting? That’s a first around here.

Outside of that, I like IU’s new look. I’ll be pulling for them to do well all season. Minus tomorrow. Whatever happens, stick around for the rest of the season. Jawing about other games in the College Football forum is a good time!

Thank you for the insight and that's great to hear. If I recall you guys had a really good corner/safety combo that season too?

Did Cam Jones go down in the last game?
i think so. hopefully he will be ready to go. (yes, a hopeful iu fan). jones is a brute. last year he hit a michigan receiver running an end around so hard he knocked him into next week. the hit was so vicious jones was ejected even though the replay showed jones only hit him with forearms. for some reason the receiver thought he did not have to avoid a hot. big mistake

Eh, he came in with a very glowing view on his team and a few of us (me being the biggest offender) pretty much told him IU sucks.

Should've just discussed the game instead of dissecting his team to let him know why we think they aren't good.

I mean a few comments were crazy... such as the Chase Young comment and them playing vanilla against Ball State, but I could've been easier on him.
well, we did play vanilla against ball st
