Game Thread Ohio State at Oklahoma, 09/17/16 @ 9:00pm ET, FOX

Apparently the backup QB is not very smart. "I think they really have a very basic defense," Kendall told Sooner Sports TV. "I think we can go out there...I mean [starting quarterback] Baker [Mayfield], he'll light them up. I'm really looking forward to it. If my number is called, I think I can do the same. I'm really looking forward to the game. It's going to be really exciting."

Different game/different situation. Just a hunch, but I'm guessing OU will be better prepared this Saturday.
Not really...That's 2 of the 3 games they've (Houston) hasn't found much on the ground. A trend for Houston and while I think OU has a good run defense my point is other then Greg Ward they really didn't have much to stress OU side line to side line.

As far being prepared both sides have that Houston game tape. We know how and what to do against them and we also know what they did well against Houston.

I'm guessing Urban has had this one circled for a while now. He'll have them prepared and ready to go. Road game at night? Yeah, this one isn't flying under the radar. I'm betting the team has had their focus on this since before they stepped onto the field to face BG and it probably played a part in a lackluster start against Tulsa.

Is it Saturday yet?

Downloaded the Fox VR app. Looks promising, not sure what it will look like and how it will perform with live feed of the game.

Has a good set up so far with previewing the "lounge" area. If it requires me to leave my TV though, the app is going buy-bye.

Maybe it's just me....I'm a bit worried about this game and how this team is going to react.

JT will be fine. I think McMillan and basically everyone who played last year will be fine. I'm a little concerned about how guys like Jordan and Weber are going to react in a big game - will they try to do too much or will they stay within themselves and do what needs to be done.

I kind of get a little antsy when a young team like this is put into the situation they are going to be in....if a couple bounces don't go Ohio State's way, I could see is snowballing really fast.

I'm not so much worried about our guys as I am in OU just generally playing the very best they are capable of.

It's literally an elimination game for them, at home, at night, just a couple of weeks off of one of their famous big game choke jobs.

This thing has been analyzed every possible way but I just can't get past this desperation and redemption angle. Not feeling great about this one from an OSU perspective to be honest.

That's how I felt earlier in the week. I think their back up gave us what we needed to weather through storm early. Early in this game yes I think the desperation they show/the energy they have may be tough to match.

However as games go it's about talent, the most prepared, and ultimately who is the better team. I think that team is Ohio State and i Now have us winning 38-27.

Would not be shocked if OU wins the game because they're a fantastic program with talented players but I just don't think they're AS talented.

Didn't Alabama get whooped by Utah in another Sugar Bowl where they fell short of expectation?

I can understand them falling asleep against Utah. OU once played Boise State and didn't feel up to playing such an irrelevant opponent.

You don't fall asleep playing against Oklahoma though, even if you're Alabama. Especially when they have a losing all-time record against us and haven't beaten us since the 1963 Orange Bowl when JFK was president. (You know, the man who saved us from the Cuban Missile Crisis.)
