OHIO STATE--68 TENNESSEE--66 (Final)

the shot by lewis was definately a two but i'll take it, did anybody besides me almost have a heart attack during the end of that game, and what was with greg oden when lofton burned him twice on the SAME EXACT play ? odens guy drew him out two consecutive possessions to the three point line set the two worst picks ive ever seen and it just seemed like oden took himself out of the play twice in a row by leaving the lane wide open for dribble penetration. He had an excellent first half, and played well the start of the 2nd but it still seems like hes not in the kind of shape he wants to be in. give him more time and he'll be a dominating force for 40 minutes.

Buckeyes finally beat SEC team in Vols

By RUSTY MILLER
AP Sports Writer

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Ohio State finally found an SEC team it could beat. With Greg Oden playing his most dominating game so far - 24 points, 15 rebounds and numerous shots altered on defense - the fifth-ranked Buckeyes rolled over No. 16 Tennessee 68-66 on Saturday.

I think the polls will say otherwise...

Oh there's no question about that. And we probably should be ranked as a top ten team, using the criteria tha the average voter uses. There's no shame in losing to arguably the top 3 teams in the country on the road (though Wisconsin sure looks flat against Northwestern today), and, now that we get a chance to play an elite team at home, we came out with a win. However, this team has a long way to go, and right now, IMO, they are a bit overhyped. When we shoot well we are really tough to beat, but you could say that about a lot of teams.

U-G-L-Y. That's what that game was. We were sloppy and got outworked by UT. Greg Oden is so fun to watch though. Nice to see Conley shoot better. It still seems like we're not sure what to do with all this talent. So nice to beat a top 25 SEC team. Now it's pretty much smooth sailing from here on out other than the UW game and road game against MSU. :osu:

I'm late to post, but all I can say is Buckeye Nation needed that! If we had lost that game after having that lead it would have made this week even worse. That was a good win.

BTW UNC just lost to Va Tech.

Me too 14. I hate to say it but im not sure this team is learning to play, or play together. Is the team chemistry not there or am I rushing things and just need to be more patient?

Couldn't agree more! They haven't gelled yet. I keep hoping to see guys making plays without eye contact or something to that effect but I haven't seen it yet. It's like we are winning just to spite ourselves. They need to get on the same page. It will happen, I just hope it happens sooner than later. I'm getting sick of saying it, but this is a young team.
