Ohio State 67, #7 Notre Dame 62 (final)

I'm really liking what this team is showing. Outstanding effort in two big wins this week. Looks like we can expect good things for the season. Turner took over the game in the second half. That's twice he's proven to be the best player on the floor against top 25 teams. If he can put together a string of games like this, he will have an all-american level season. Solid play from Simmons at point. Turner and Lauderdale are the backbone of the team, and if 1-2 players from the rest can manage to put up good offensive numbers every game, the Buckeyes will be hard to beat. I'd like to see Lauderdale get the pass to him down low more often. Mullins started slow, but really improved as the game went on. I have to think that Lighty will break out with a good offensive game soon. In both of this weeks games, the Bucks struggled early with missed shots, and then took control when the made buckets led to increased defensive pressure. If they can manage to come out of the gates swinging, they could be able to hang with any team in the country. They are playing really well, and there's plenty of room for growth. What I really like is the passion they show, and the enthusiam for winning. The way they have carried themselves in the past two games is representative of how all college athletes should behave. Matta'a doing a great job, and we may have a chance at a Bit Ten championship and a NCAA Tournament run. Good times in Buckeyland!

Still happy that the Buckeyes won hitting only three three-pointers in the game and going 3-for-16 from deep.

Buford and Mullens keep developing.

Defense.

ND averages over 80 points a game, and they can't use the Harangody excuse - he played, and played well. He's the reason the game was close.

We just shut them down, and Evan took over in the second half.

All those great players that Matta recruited are panning out! This is really exciting.

Lauderdale was considered somewhat of a project on the offensive end, but he's been nothing to rock solid on both ends of the floor.

I am really glad that Matta took the verbal from Evan before the kid who eventually ended up at Florida had the chance to verbal. What a great choice!

Diebs is coming on. The production level has increased and now we are just aiming at consistency. Awesome threat for the offense.

We just need a true point guard to emerge, or actually another shooter like Buford since Evans can distribute the ball. Buford and Mullens will be fun to follow.

Evan Turner is the key to our team. we will live by him and die by him. as far as I'm concerned, that is the way we win. the kid is a winner! every trip down the court needs to go through him one way or the other

WELCOME TO THE TOP 25 BUCKS!

So far this season the most impressive thing to me is the drastic improvement that Dallas Lauderdale has shown. It is clear that the kid worked his ass off in the offseason and it is paying huge dividends for both he and the team, good for him. Has the looks of another exciting winter at the Schott.

the scary part of all is how well this team is playing and how slowly Matta is brining Mullens and Bufford along. Those two could be starting by the end of the season, and the thoughts of seeing Lauderdale/Mullens playing together with them both at the top of their game is awesome.
