Game Thread Ohio State 43, Youngstown St. 0 (Aug. 30)

I'm curious to know why you think there are usually lots of seats MD?

Whenever I've been to the Skull Session, it's pretty crowded, but not to the point where you can't find a seat. You may not be on the lower level, but I don't think he'd have a problem finding seats.

Yeah, I guess my observations are a little slanted considering I have only been to the skull session for the '04 Michigan game and around St. Johns for College Game day games, so there's been a lot of hype on the games where I have seen St. Johns.

Block O entrance set for opener

By Rusty Miller

COLUMBUS ? What's brewing with the Ohio State Buckeyes:
Buckeyes buzz
It doesn't sound as if all the details have been ironed out, but the Buckeyes will come onto the field for the opener Saturday, Aug. 30, against Youngstown State while surrounded by members of the marching band.
Let's just hope this isn't a Stanford-Cal situation all over again.
Perhaps the most striking (in a manner of speaking) innovation for Ohio State's 119th season opener will be the team entrance into the band's Block O formation.
"We kind of rehearsed it, slightly," wide receiver Brian Hartline said. "I hope it works out and it's not a mess. It should be fun. Coming out with the Block O, it'll be cool. We'll see how it works out. Hopefully we don't take out any band members."

Penguin has cheerleader in a former Wolverine
Ray, from Eastmoor, still talks a big game, but now it's for brother

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH
Marcus Ray said he will talk to his brother tonight for the last time this week. "Friday, I'll let him breathe," said Ray, a former Eastmoor standout. "Saturday, he should have about 15 tackles."
That would be one more, by Ray's count, than his brother, Youngstown State linebacker Roshon Simons, had last year against Ohio State, and three more than the number for which he was credited in the official statistics.
"Beanie Wells had 16 carries for 46 yards, for whatever reason," Ray said. "My brother felt like he could compete with anybody on any level.
"He's a fierce competitor. I don't think he'll be intimidated walking into that stadium. He's been there before. And he watched his brother dominate Ohio State."

Did you even read what you wrote? Sorry, but there is no such thing as running up the score in the first half let alone the first quarter. ?

Uh, yeah there is, when you're up by 5 TDs, your defense is stuffing the opponents offense like a T-Day turkey, and you still have your starters in. Tressel has pulled starters out early with far closer scores than that.

Tressel took them all out early in the 3rd. The only reason he brought the starters back in was to make sure NU didn't get any sort of momentum after that kick return TD. Northwestern was just completely overwhelmed and outmatched.

Are you fucking kidding me? A momentum swing in a 45-0 game? You've been listening to Ed Cunningham too much. You even admitted yourself that "Northwestern was just completely overwhelmed and outmatched", so how in the fuck is a team like that going to swing momentum on a kick return? They weren't.

No way will JT allow 56 points to be scored on YSU. He'll sit Pryor and play a walk-on QB before letting his team score that much against YSU.

Uhhh?

I live near Philly, and my Digital Cable says I'm getting tOSU/YSU. It better not be one of those times where the guide says one thing but something else happens. Lord knows I've talked enough shit about being able to see the Buckeyes to my buddies that like Penn State.

Uhhh, overflow channels...
