Game Thread Ohio State 3, Southern Cal 35 (Sept. 13)

How will Ron Johnson and Brod Green play (interesting to me mostly because we wanted those two and recruited them).

And Ayles, Ausberry, O'Dowd (strange one that recruitment), Sanchez and many others, not even counting the token offers. Should be fun.

Rojo was also hot and cold last year, but he's matured. Right now he looks like the kickoff return guy. Broderick Green was injured last year and is now stuck in the RB rotation behind a guy named Allen Bradford. As big as Green is, Bradford was a wild animal with the ball this spring. Bradford has been one of the guys that should have seen the field a ton the last two years, and I think he feels that this is his year and he's going to win the Big Back spot no matter what.

Then there's Stafon Johnson, who's really come on strong, as the Lightening back. And Joe McKnight, of course. And C.J. Gable, who broke off a couple of 50 yard TD's this spring.

O'Dowd did kinda come out from nowhere, didn't he?

But ... Smart
He never gets enough love with his on-field moniker:

I'd've nicknamed him Tricky. Or Smokin'. Smokin' Dick Trickle.

Although he is reputed to have had electronic cigarette lighters put in his race cars, Dick Trickle waited until he got out of the car after Sunday?s 100-lap, 50-mile feature to light up. Nearly 65 years old, Trickle finished seventh in the 28-car field.

Just watched a few Youtubes of Sanchez. Watched the last two drives on Oregon and the 4tds vs ND.

IMO I think his greatest asset is pocket awareness.

His throws were really not all that on target. But he's got a nasty pump fake, and he made some good decisions. The talent around him (Fred Davis, the trio of WRs, and an AMAZING O-line) made him shine.

USC is fielding a good team, no doubt.

He actually jumped right out of Track and Field and got hit by a car off Figueroa. He should be all healed up for Summer, though.
You'll notice that his flaps are not extended, which tells me that this jet is just starting to take off. No surprise that he landed outside the stadium.
