No. This is how we play against the top teams in the nation the last three years. I agree with most people on here that we have the talent to be competitive with the top teams in the nation but the talent isnt getting it done. You can blame it on coaching or whatever you please. Dont try and cop out and blame it on the ref's or beanie's injury.

This is the biggest problem with the board right now. Most people were blind-sided by this.

Having seen last week's game in person; I knew damn well that this was a distinct possibility.

Fortunately, I have enough going on in my own life that the accomplishments of 20-year-olds is of relatively little importance. For those of you who don't, please stop advertising your need to get a life. Or at least do it elsewhere.

Tressel wouldn't embarass anyone. I think he believes this to a fault. Sometimes it would be nice to see him send a small message

Post game thoughts, as I have to run:
- Our mental toughness has to be in question. Whenever the ball gets rolling in USC's way, we just collapse. You could see dear in the headlights again tonight at 14-3. Seniors and captains making bonehead penalties, playing way under par.
- The offense is Beanie-less and it shows. For all those who said "We'll be ok with or without Beanie", you're on crack. We have no playmaker and it hurts. I'm sure we wouldn't be winning with him but it might be closer.
- We do not suck. I admit to yelling that tonight many times, but we just aren't an elite team. I thought that this would be the game that proves whether or not we deserve to be a top 10 team. We don't. Having said that, we need to move forward from the unrealistic national championship talk and try to just be the best we can.
- USC is the balls. They were clearly the best team on the field and would win 9 out of 10 imo. We didn't underperform. We didn't choke. We just got a reality check from the #1 team in the country. Yes, we made a significant amount of mental mistakes but even physically, we are clearly outmatched.
- Pryor will be a good one. We have a lot to look forward to in the future. However, we still have to win the Big 10 and hope to get into a BCS game.
- This loss really, really hurts. I know we all wanted to see our guys win, or at least look respectable. I still respect and appreciate all the seniors coming back to try and make it happen, it just didn't. As much as this sucks, the sun will rise in the morning, at least, the odds are it will. Those odds were the odds that USC had to win this game tonight.

Pride?....to me pride is not getting blown out 35 to 3......Yes Tressel is a class act. Always has been and always will be. Maybe I'm just a little bit fustrated and taking it out on the board. So I apologize in advance for any ill thought of tirades.

Call USC the University of Spoiled Children..call them what evr you want, but call them the team that beat us....by a staggering margin.

If Beanie going down didn't make you nervous... just sayin'. Although, I could not have predicted Todd would make so many bonehead plays. Still love him, but DOH!

Earlier this week when I heard Beanie was out.........I immediatley told a couple friends, "Ok, I give USC 28 points". They looked at me like I was crazy. There are buckeye fans who are just sick with buckeye everything, and there are buckeye fans who are realists. I knew we would take a thumping tonight. Because I knew that, I am not feeling near as bad as half the people on this board, or any board. SC should be playing in the NFL, where they are actually allowed to pay players :wink:

Pete Carroll is a really really really good coach. As are their coordinators.

And USC is a damn good program right now. Cocky, cheaters, Hollywood style, whatever else people might have to say about them...I don't really care. They play some good football and are on top of the college football world right now.

Yep. The sun is up here and there's still another game next week. Seven more after that. USC is the real deal and Joe McKnight just played himself into a legit Heisman candidacy. Get Beanie healthy and win the Big-10. Still a lot of football to be played. Oh, and m*ch*g*n sucks.

You're laying this entire game on one guy with your posts.

Seriously get a grip. The entire team wasn't average tonight, not just TB.

and so what if it was 7 or 8 or even 10 years ago. The crowd is fickle. However it's not a distant memory when OHio State's QBs couldn't collectively hit water from a boat 100 miles to the east of Bermuda.

People need some damned perspective. USC is a very talented team. They are going to make much better QBs than Todd Boeckman look bad. It's not on TB, when he had time no one was open. And when he didn't have time he was barely out of his drop before he was hit.

Sometimes I think Todd Boeckman's biggest problem is that his name isn't Troy Smith or Craig Krenzel.
