Game Thread Ohio State 3, Southern Cal 35 (Sept. 13)

I never said it was an assessment - but that is exactly how you will feel by the time the legality of this issue plays out, unless of course the 24% of america is right

I'll be happy if USC wins the game as long as the win is marred by the revelation that Wright was absolutely guilty and Carroll was just tying to keep him around for the OSU game at all costs. I get the feeling this isn't the case because if Wright was truly as guilty as everyone thinks, he would already be detained by now.
That said, I will reserve judgment on the issue until something concrete comes to the fore.

I totally disagree, there is no innocent until proven guilty here, the dude has been CHARGED with a FELONY. Not "a suspect", not "affiliated", he is CHARGED. Not a misdemeanor, FELONY. Ray Small was right, its all about football over there, its about life over here.
So, in your eyes he is guilty right? Dont know anything other than what was put in a paper article, and you can judge him? Wow! I didnt think that was possible! Dont hate the kid JUST because he plays for SC.

I don't think anyone is saying they absolutely know he is guilty. But he has been charged. It is my understanding that the DA isn't going to charge you unless they feel that there is some sort of a case against you.

Maybe I'm wrong and one of our legal experts will set me straight.

But the fact that it is a FELONY charge and he's still out there is what gets me.

EDIT: Your sig says it all: Everyone in our program is in relentless pursuit for a competitive edge. Even if it means playing a possible felon in our secondary.

Before everyone starts slinging crap at me, I would feel the same way about ANY player, no matter what school he played for. My brother is a oc. sheriff, and he also found it odd that he was released at the scene, and then charged days later. There is maybe something else not being mentioned. Usually a felony will get you a warrant for your arrest. Why isnt he in custody?

Depending on who the DA is, he or she may very well charge you with alot of things, see Duke Lacrosse Scandal for evidence.

Eh I'm pretty sure he's more concerned with the fact that the kid is involved in breaking the law, not just because he goes to USC and did. Maybe I'm crazy but usually if someone is involved in criminal activity, people aren't exactly compelled to want them running around doing what they want. He may be innocent or he may be guilty of doing something, but for now he's involved and needs to be dealt with until the matter is officially solved.

My point exactly! If he is indeed charged with a felony, a warrant for his arrest is issued. So, why hasnt he been arrested? I think EVERYONE knows his location. And changing my sig says alot about you. Thanks.

Know what?
I'll face a troubled, mind-bent kid any day over a committed teamer! Put 'em in!! The key tonight is lights - out "D", ( we also have 2 of our secondary returning from the dog house..) and sustained "O" drives! Have not seen a Big Boy package to date. Look for a FB to open some holes on a Very young SC "D" line...
Breathing fire, drinking heavily in Ga.....

Hell yeah, let him play.
My beef is with Petey's "no biggie" decision to let him play. Class. All the wins in the world can't buy it.

Low blow using your sig against you . I apologize. I do think you and I are on the same page about him being charged. He's been charged so why hasn't he been arrested?

Something stinks. If he is allowed to play today and then arrested tomorrow or Monday then I'm crying (more) foul than I am already. I think that Pete is walking a very fine line here. But why would he care. ESPN wouldn't say a cross word about USC if they were doing kiddie porn in their Film Study classes.

I spread the field with five wide and hit Dane Sanzenbacher for 18 yards, then get Brian Hartline dragging across the middle to convert on 3 & 11. ?Great throw by the quarterback there,? Lee Corso says. Thanks, Lee. But I only pick up two yards on the next three plays and have to punt.

Now it?s time for me to sit back on the couch, enjoy my day off, and watch college football for the next 13 hours?

and watch this play out...for real
