You sure that wasn't Greenberg who said Mini-Cooper/Locomotive.

I'm pretty sure, uninformed radio host, Mike Greenbeerg said it.

Yes I am sure.

Only because if you knew how many times I had to rewind it to get the quotes, you would be convinced also. Hell I think after Ditka said it, I had to peel a piece of gum off of my TV screen. Weird shit.

Now that the Broncos are stomping the Raiduh's, Black Nation will soon turn their hatred toward Beanie Wells. Sweeeeeeet.

Monday night football, live from Oakland...

(cut from commercial in 3...2...1...)

Mike Greenberg: "Oh what a game Saturday night on ABC, a collision at the Coliseum. It's Jim Tressel's #5 Ohio State Buckeyes against Pete Carroll's USC Trojans. It's Saturday night football presented by southwest airlines on ABC Saturday night Primetime at 8 o'clock eastern time."

Mike Golic: "Think that one's gonna shape, uh, the landscape a little bit in college football?"

Mike Ditka: "That could be a Mini-Cooper running into a locomotive..."

All 3: "HAHAHAHAHA"

Mike Greenberg: "We shall see...."

I love dissing of OSU on a national level. The seniors didn't come back for a 1 or 2 loss season. They came back to restore our reputation on a national level, and cement themselves as one of the greatest classes to ever play at OSU. There is no better time than now, make a big statement this week. Send ripples through the college football world that this OSU team could be for real this season.

I want these guys to play this game as revenge for the past 2 national championships. To take it out on everyone who has doubted them. This is their time to shine. This game is one of the reasons these seniors came back. To play for the school that they so much care about. They don't need any bulletin board material. What has happened to them the past few years should be enough incentive to take out on USC. Sure this isn't the National Championship game just yet. We have faced adversity before and people have highly doubted this team in years past. In more times then not, we have overcome this adversity and have proved people wrong. This game is no different and yet again the Buckeyes will prevail.

GO BUCKEYES!!

ugh...
I for the first time I can remember am dreading a Buckeye game right now. It's amazing how many Buckeyes fans are predicting they lose in the predictions thread. I understand. I'm having trouble picking the Buckeyes after the travesty of last week. A loss in this game is more than a loss. It's much worse than Illinois last year or either of the National Championship game losses. I don't even know if I can explain why. I wish JT would have left us something to be confident about for this week.

If you are actually planning on watching this game as a Buckeyes fan and expecting a loss, then I would recommend playing some corn hole in the back yard. That's what fans of Ntre Ame, scUMigan, and MAC schools do while the big boys are playing in front of the world.

I'm not talking the good ol' USA, I'm talking about our family, friends and neighbors overseas. The world over. If we, as the state of Ohio, sit back on our couches and expect the Buckeyes to lose, then "we" cannot call ourselves Buckeyes. Do you know how many Buckeyes just dodged a bullet or an IED in the last week, still hoping they would be able to see this game?

I am a BUCKEYE. You are too. Let's act like we appreciate how great it is to be a Buckeye. From the United F' States of America.

We are going to pile drive USC to China and back.

Drive, drive on down the field. Men of the Scarlet and Gray.

And the Red, White, and Blue.

We have so many Buckeye fans overseas, pulling so hard for tOSU to win that we at least OWE it to them to have enough faith back here in the Great State of Ohio, that the GD Buckeyes are going to win the game.

Dammit.

I love my country, and I love my Buckeyes.

Special mention to my Marine friend Shane Semer, currently stationed in San Diego, between tours. I know he hates the Buckeyes, but I know he will be watching. Thanks for defending my country Shane.

That's the stuff GPA's are made of Schwab.

I'm sooooo fucking tired of the negative outlook. I know you all can sit here and try and reason with me why I shouldn't be so confidant or fired the fuck up. I've got news for you, give it a fucking rest. Nothing you say is going to change my mind. You're just trying to trick yourselves into thinking the Bucks are headed for disaster. That way, if they do lose, it won't hurt as bad. Guess what, that's all bullshit. If you really love something the way I think most of you love the Buckeyes, it's still going to sting like fucking hell if they were to lose. So might as well suck it up and get PUMPED THE FUCK UP! IT'S FUCKING USC, the team 90% of BP has been bitching about over the last five years. It's the Buckeyes chance to knock those wave riding, fake suicide doing, long haired hippie fuckers off thier fucking high white horse. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!

As a USC fan, I'm not worried about Boeckman or Beanie- Boeckman is an above average pocket passer but does not make good decisions under pressure, and Beanie is a great back but our LB's will do a good job limiting him.

The only way you should not be worrying about Beanie is if he is not on the field or can't play. He is mentioned as a Heisman candidate for a reason. The kid is special, he can carry the offense, even when the D knows he is coming. Now if our o-line doesn't show up then its moot but I would not worry about Pryor before Beanie.

I don't mean to diminish Beanie in any way, I think he's earned the respect, but I still think Pryor is a bigger threat because he completely changes the way the defense has to play. Beanie's success depends on how well the line blocks for him- if he had played against OU I don't think he would have had much more success than the other Wells or Saine, cuz the O-line stunk it up for three quarters. I mean, I think running backs are always over-rated whether it be in college or NFL- the O-line's performance dictates the success of the running game. So unless Beanie can shoot laser beams out of his um... eyes, or has a 10 foot vertical leap, I think he can be limited by a good D-line and LB corps- which USC possesses. That's all I'm saying. I think McKnight and Co. will also have a difficult time running against the OSU front 7, and so the determing factor to me is quarterback play.

Boeckman is in his 6th year and hasn't shown he can play well against top-ranked defenses. He's a good QB, but not great- similar to John Booty at USC last year. Pryor will be a Heisman winner one day, and if I were Tressel, it would be dumb not to put him in the mix against USC. Sure there's pressure, but if TB struggles, I don't think there is really a choice. Pryor will pick up yards with his feet. Simple.

On a separate note- it seems like if OSU loses, there are going to be several thousand people on suicide watch in Ohio- it's not the end of the season, and certainly not the end of the world. Didn't last season teach you anything? Bucks can lose this one and still have a great shot at the NC or good Bowl game. Same goes for USC.

Disagree and agree. Disagree about Beanie. John Madden has said for years that it is the RB that makes the Line, not vice versa. I tend to agree. There a special players, that when they have the ball in their hands, they make things happen. Beanie is one of those guys. He would make any OL look better than it really is.

As for TP, I agree that he brings a dimension to the game that could pose problems for USC. WHY? Because he too is one of those special kind of players who make things happen when they have the ball in their hands.

As special players go, Beanie and TP are the two guys who have a special kind of talent that separates them from everyone else on the Ohio State Offense.

Here's hoping that Beanie is healthy, and that TP can be put in situations in which he can use his gifts to our advantage.

GO BUCKS!! Beat USC!!
