Never once said he had a good game...that was Millen :) 2 picks and 50% completion is not a great game.

My point is about the pressure applied to the pup in the first half...and most of the 3rd.

I agree about the pressure. I kept saying "trust the coaches" to myself throughout this game. It seems odd with the other team having a frosh QB in there though.

I think that is a by-product of the amount of success we have had with the success of the front four the rest of this year. Oh well, the game is over now. We win. Fuck Michigan. :)

Oh, I was yelling -where's the f-ing blitz most of the game, but it came when we needed it most. If naught for that kick return this would have been a snoozer in the 4th.

I'm not sure if ths was mentioned or not earlier, but the Iowa fans showed a total lack of respect before the game. During the pre-game Carmen, the whole Iowa section chanted Lets Go Hawks. With Carmen being a quieter song, their chant echoed and kind of eliminated Carmen. Absolutely horrible. Us Blockies were sure to give them our piece of mind after Carmen was over

I was concerned about a possible emotional let down and I think we saw some of that, but give Iowa credit, they are a fine team. I start to think this team has turned a corner in big games and better times are coming and a better national perception. Well done guys! TP played under control and has showed maturity the pass couple games. And we have a dependable running game, now.
Whe things come together it's a beautiful thing! :oh:

Is anybody else surprised that Ferentz didn't use his timeout before the kick? I know there's a school of thought out there that that's a bush league move, but that usually goes out the window when your team's facing a game-losing kick.

Maybe he thought he was psyching him out by not calling the timeout everyone *knew* was coming. I dunno. I'm just proud of Barclay for nailing the kick in a pressure situation. He's a part of Buckeye lore now.

I dont think the timeout thing really works, maybe Kirk just subscribes to the same theory as i do.
What really suprised me was him not going for the win at the end of regulation and instead just taking it to OT, but I liked his decision
