Herron had "only" 95, Saine had 103.

--Back to basics...after last week, didn't expect today's gameplan on either side of the ball. A 1st time starter and we aren't unleashing hell on him from all angles? Dunno...
--Special teams...worst game overall that Ive seen in JT's era. All around bad.
--OL...I can't blame the OL even though they will likely take some heat. 5 guys can only do so much...especially when they are outnumbered.
--Boom & Saine & TP...helluvan effort tonight from all of them.
--Anderson Russell...2 INTs. Not exactly redemption, but a great way to go out on Senior Day.
--Matt Millen....you suck...at everything.

Agreed. I expect both offenses to struggle to move the ball. Whoever can avoid committing turnovers and giving up big plays on offense should win the game. Both teams seem to share the philosophy of controlling the ball, running effectively, hitting on big plays in the passing game, and having great special teams.
I expect OSU to do a much better job of keeping McNutt and Johnson-Koulianos from getting behind the defense than some other teams (Indiana ) have done. Make Vandenburg win the game by moving the ball through the air. If he can do it, bravo to them.
Shades of Florida 06 where everyone knew if you hit Chris Leak he would fade and they never went after him. I questioned it then and I question it now. There's a reason everyone blitzes rookies... because it works.osugrad21;1594303; said:Post thoughts...

Agreed... I thought the team executed fairly well what they were given...osugrad21;1594303; said:--OL...I can't blame the OL even though they will likely take some heat. 5 guys can only do so much...especially when they are outnumbered.

Count the blitzes in the 3rd quarter.
Count the blitzes in the 4th.
You could get open in 3-4 seconds.

That's the only rational explanation for the play calling combined with not wanting Pryor to take hits because of injuries. But I'm still confused.
