watching this ending to this game reminded me of the shoe' when we played Texas'. Everyone was wondering that year "can vince young beat teams with his arm for once" and that last drive for Terrelle unfortunately reminded me of the Lima Sweed touchdown drive (same ending atleast). The scary thing is Terrelle is starting to prove this as a freshman. He was essentially shut down running the ball, and figured out a way to come back with his arm and put this game on ice for us.
For a freshman to do what he did on that drive is just sick, and just imagine how he'll be at the end of this year/next year (not to mention as a junior). The gameball still goes to Beanie though. Such a power guy!! You saw that stiff arm two times tonight and both times were devistating!
This was the exact type of win this team/program needed. It would've done us no good to go in and blow them out. This teams needed to learn to do what it took to fight and claw for 60 minutes. Not great, but damn the best win we've had in quite some time here.
As for the Aflack trivia question I posed today "when was the last time we adjusted correctly at half time"
the answer is..... Oct. 4th @Wisconsin. You can't do anything about Clay. Besides him we did a tremendous job applying pressure and allowing ZERO time for #4 to throw the ball. Way to pick up the slack D-line!
