Ohio Bobkittens (Beavis, FredOU, Hocking Jackassery)

The most annoying thing about this whole deal is how many references to 'bobcat tackles Brutus' I've seen. Bobcat failed to bring Brutus down until he was in the endzone - and even that was after he had to jump him from behind.

Actually, he didn't even take Brutus down. Here is an excerpt from a message board that Brutus posted:

Basically myself and another cheerleader were running the flag like any other game leading the team out onto the field. All of a sudden I see the bobcat running at me. Obviously at first I was very confused and then realized that he was going to try and tackle me. As he went to tackle me, I lowered my shoulder and sent him to the ground and his head popped off (the pinnacle of mascot embarrassment). I then figured that was over with so I started to walk towards the endzone and was firing up the crowd. All of a sudden I feel someone jump on my back....it was the bobcat. He starts legit punching me so I jump and fall back on my back so that I land on him. He keeps punching so I throw him off of me and walk away.
Whatever. This thing has received way too much attention anyway. The guy did it to get his 15 mins of fame. Good for him. Yippe kay yay, Yadda Yadda Yadda.

I'm still confused by the OU/OSU hate. How is it that I could be alive for 30 years; grow up in central Ohio; attend Ohio State for 4 years; and be completely oblivious to this so-called rivalry?

That's right. It doesn't fucking exist.

Yeah, no shit. Most of my high school friends go to OU. None of them hate Ohio State. All of them thought the mascot thing was fucking stupid.

I like how people are making shirts like the mascot looked cool in the process of being a total douche.

"LOL WE BEAT DA SHIT OUTTA UR MASCOT LOOK AT DIS SHIRT"

"No, your mascot's head fell off and missed the easiest tackle of all time. And we beat the living shit out of your football team, which is what actually matters..."

I'm now calling the Bearcats the Cincinnati Bobcats and OU the Ohio Bearcats. Apparently it's the same fanbase. Same football relevancy too.

  1. Missed Tackle
  2. Lost Mascot Head
  3. Assault & Battery
  4. ...that is so weak he doesn't even manage to get Brutus angry enough to retaliate
Was there any possible FAIL associated with this action (that had been planned for a YEAR) that he did not pull off?

Impressive

5. Dropped out / flunked out of one of the top party schools in the country. Don't forget his off-the-field "success" too.

So the pinnacle of his success was a missed tackle against a Buckeye in the Shoe...hmmmm. Someone needs to tell him about the walk on program at that school up north. He's perfect!

The only thing more pathetic than the actions of this little witling is that we have 193 comments on the non-event in this thread. :so:

More pathetic? Dude spent an entire year cooking this thing up. We've spent less than a week making fun of it.

Besides, have you seen how much time people waste discussing non-events in the recruiting forum?

I think the NCAA needs to do some investigating of Ohio. Follow the logic:

Mascot can't tackle :: Mascot doesn't even go to Ohio
Team can't tackle :: _______________________

Are we sure these are eligible football players?

At least the dipsh!t made ou relevant in the world of college football for a weeks time. After the preview to EMU is published, they'll be relegated to obscurity again. (Wow! How does that feel "wildcat" fans? You got upstaged by the basement team in your own conference.)

Maybe this can be their claim to fame and bring on a new motto. "We can't compete football-wise, but bring on the mascot!" I guess that gives new meaning to anytime/anywhere*.

*(unless the other mascot actually goes to said school)

no...."bring on the mascot" would imply that you're issuing a challenge to the other mascot. that the other mascot knows whats coming and it wasn't a sneak attack out of nowhere.

A Pac is that you? The shift/caps lock keys on your board suck.
