The more I hear about this kid, the more I like him. He mentioned in the article on BN that OSU was the first big school to offer and I got the impression that he appreciated that and also the fact that Coach T called him personally and offered him.

Sounds like a solid young man.

McCarthy said he had a great visit to Ohio State this weekend. He thought it was a great place with great people. He didn't commit but OSU is his leader.

He is is scheduled to visit Navy next weekend and has already been to Toledo. He said he likes ND but it's going to be tough to beat OSU.

Pretty much the same as Rivals update. Kyle was hosted by Todd Boeckman and hung out with Rory Nicol. He loved the facilities and program but was most impressed with the people. No other visits are set up yet but Navy might be next. As of now, Ohio State is leading.

I think it's a pretty bad sign that after we have a recruit on campus for the weekend, he still likes the Bobcats the best.

FWIW, Gary stated on the BN board that he feels like Kyle may commit to the Buckeyes sometime next week...after his visit to Navy this weekend. Take it for what it's worth...
