Lots of comments on Ben's TD. I think it was an issue because of the delay on the first signal; replay would have been deemed inconclusive regardless of the original ruling. If it wasn't called a TD, Cowher definitely would have gone for it on 4th and a couple of inches.
The ticky-tack call on Jackson's offensive PI cost Seattle 4 points.
There's been a lot of discussion on holding calls/non-calls, most all of which were legit, but most also went the way of the the Steelers. The 15-yarder on Hasselbeck making the tackle was a joke, but didn't have much affect on the outcome.
Nobody has said anything about a Stevens 'drop' in the first half where he was facing backwards as he got his hands on the ball, came down with both feet and turned his body with a foot hitting the ground for the third time when he was hit and separated from the ball, which went forward several yards. The ref blew the whistle, and then the ball went out of bounds; it would have been very tough for Pittsburgh to get the ball before it went out, only one guy was in the area and he would have needed to dive for the ball to keep it in-bounds.
The ref should have not blown the whistle, and let the 'fumble' go to see who recovered it. Replay can always call the pass incomplete if it truly was. That one sure looked like a catch and a fumble to me. That incompletion stopped the drive.
Seattle's punting, FG kicking, and two-minute offense really sucked. Hasselbeck played a decent game, and Alexander got a quiet 95 yards, but the penalties, poor 2-minute offense, and missed FG's killed them.
