Official NCAA 2007 Info Thread (Merged)

From what I've read, it doesn't have these features that the current gen does...
...
Theres a few other things, but I can't remember them all.
methomps already explained this pretty clearly
EA Sports is really pissing me off by basically releasing different versions of the game for different platforms. Some stuff will be on 360(next-gen), but not on xbox/ps2(current-gen). Some stuff will be on ps2/xbox, but not 360:

Current Gen Only:

Student Athlete Mode (RFTH redux)
More trick plays
ESPN the magazine during dynasty mode
Spring Game

360 Only:

More playbooks and plays
70 Amazingly detailed stadiums
Generic stadiums for the remaining school
3D recruiting maps
Killer graphics
more player animations
Custom Soundtrack
3 new mini games

I'm going to be incredibly busy this fall and spring anyway, so maybe I'll just rent the game for a while. Sucks.

Ok as expected, anybody who said the graphics are slightly better is smoking serious crack. The game looks incredible. In fact it looks so good, that I am gonna snag up a high def cable next time I work to really see what it's capable of. Player detail is incredible, control is great. Think it's gonna be a fantastic game.

I played the demo for 360 this morning. First thought is that it is a definite improvement over lasts years Madden for 360. The game looks pretty good and the controls feel like NCAA football to me like in past years. The passing game seems to be improved too but still may need some work. (Not as many drops, espicially when you take control of the reciever.) The demo doesn't make me want to run out and buy the game but I most certainly would like to rent it and see what the dynasty is like.

Played the demo this morning and took a few things away from it.

1. The graphics are amazing and the player detail is amazing. The animations also look good with a bunch of new tackles and RB moves.

2. One thing I didn't like about the demo was the abscence of a hit stick and the new way of juking is going to take some getting used to. Edit: nvm found it.

3. I like using the right stick to kick. I think that's better than the meter.

4. The fake snaps caught me off guard at first. I jumped 2 or 3 times.

5. When you use the coach cam before the snap to look at the play, it was kind of hard to see the routes the recievers run. I just thought they were a little bit dark.

6. Overall, it looks like a good game and I'm pretty pumped to get it.

Edit: One more thing, they used some of the exact same commentary from last year which made me a little angry, but I think I'll get over it.

There is a hit stick, I'm not sure why you thought there wasn't but I used the hit stick more than once and it showed the little box on the bottom left hand corner of the screen that said hit stick. Not sure if you didn't play last years version but the "impact stick" which you use to juke and truck someone is the same as last years too.

Hmm thats weird. When I looked at the controls for defensive pursuit, it said the R-stick was unused. Maybe I just missed it.

Edit: O.K. I found everything now

It also looks like we are getting smoked in the BCS Championship game (check the logo on the field aside from the #1 vs #2)

My take: OK, there are 66 players in the game. 3 are no longer on the team (Haw, Cotton, Roberts), and Kerr doesn't count towards the scholarship limit (83 at the moment). So there are 21 players not represented in the game. The problem with the players who've left the program is that you can't edit their class in the game, nor can you delete them. Thus, options are limited. There are no matches for Cotton's spot, as everyone in his class is already in. Roberts' spot can be given only to Drew Norman (it'll actually be nice to have a true long snapper), and Haw's only to Shaun Lane. So you're left with a compete waste in Cotton's spot and only 4 spots for the following 19 players:

Ryan Williams
Todd Denlinger
Anderson Russell
Austin Spitler
Don Washington
Antonio Henton
Connor Smith
Bryant Browning
Josh Kerr
Josh Ballard
Andy Miller
Walter Dublin
Dexter Larimore
Thad Gibson
Mark Johnson
Tyler Moeller
Grant Schwarz
Chimdi Chekwa
Aaron Gant
