Official NCAA 2007 Info Thread (Merged)

From info I got, sounds like typical EA.

360: can edit class but not equipment

PS2/XBox: can edit equipment but not class.
Yep, sounds like typical EA. Hopefully the classes will be more correct on PS2/XBox versions. If not, most of them can be fixed by redshirting the players in the first season of a dynasty (Nicol, Lyons, Gholston). It will be tougher though to change players like Haw, Roberts, and Cotton to other guys.

Brutus Strength thanks a lot! Wow you are very lucky, I copy pasted your review to a xbox forum. They're eating it up, and oddly enough nobody there has a leaked copy yet, you've lucked out.

Also did you download the demo? If you did, could you compare the in-game experience, identical?

Yeah, I did get luckY. I thought I was gonna get shut out this year. Oddly enough, my tip came from a guy all the way in Plano, TX.

I didn't download the demo. I've read on other sites that it's pretty close, but that the AA level on the full version is more difficult.

Another tidbit I just remembered, is when picking the stadium and weather info, you can choose game times such as 12:30, 3:30, 8:00 and current time. I wonder if the current time feature also pulls in current weather conditions or if it just dictates the lighting for the game. I'm not sure but I thought it was a cool feature.

Edit: BW- You can also point the Xbox guys over to my thread at MaddenPlanet where I've posted a lot of similar information.

Edit #2: Also, if they go to my posts at MP, then they can see my gamer profile on each of my posts which shows NCAA 07 as the most recent game played... just in case they don't believe me.

Last question before I let you enjoy your game :)

How's the stadium look?
Not a problem, I'm still at work.

The Shoe looks incredible. Much better than the 06 on the XBox. At times you think your looking at a picture or watching TV instead of playing a game. There are also times when it is very clear that it's a game.

Brutus also looks very good. He dances in the background after touchdowns. I can't tell if it's actual video footage or animation. Stellar stuff.

If you are busy at work, please feel no need to answer :)

But.... How about the frame-rate? Any stuttering on the stadium shots or crowd scans? Also the only graphic complaints would be at times the face-mask looked kind of messed up from certain angles, notice any of that?

The 18th is too far away lol.

I didn't notice any really big graphical issues. Early on there were some things I was disappointed with a few small issues, but they seemed to go away after a bit of playing. It might have even had to do with playing the first game in overcast weather conditions and the second in perfect weather.

I didn't notice any facemask issues, but I also only played 2 games and was trying to focus on the new controls. Framerate seemed smooth. There certainly wasn't anything that appeared to be a major problem or a game killer. I'm sure I'll become pickier as I get more playing time under my belt.

Aha, that makes sense. Thanks for the info.

I'd be surprised if the equipment editing isn't available on current-gen systems. It makes more sense to be a next-gen only issue.

That being said, I don't know that class and hometown editing are available on current-gen systems. I hope they are.

I know Ryan Pretorius personally and I can tell you that he NEVER went to school in Colorado. He has only attend school in South Africa where he grew up. OSU is the only school in the U.S. that he has ever attended. He moved to Ohio from Denver, CO where he was residing at the time he was accepted to OSU. That is the only reason why they have Denver on the web site. Westville Boy's is a school in Durban, South Africa.

Excellent. I appreciate the more detailed information.

Man, this place is so chock full of OSU info, you can even get tons of detailed information about players in the videogame threads.
