Don?t count out Ted Ginn Jr. as a three-way threat in the NFL. Ginn, from Glenville High and Ohio State, said Monday night at the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards that he would be open to playing offense, defense and special teams at the next level. Ginn said he would be thrilled to do any or all of them for the Browns. ?It was my childhood dream to play for the Browns,? he said. ?Why would I want to go somewhere else if I could keep it in Cleveland?? Ginn is wearing a walking boot on his left foot, which he injured at the BCS Championship Game on Jan. 8. He suffered a mid-foot sprain. Ginn expects to be in the boot for four more weeks. Ginn, who is skipping his senior season at Ohio State to enter the NFL, made his name with the Buckeyes as a receiver and returner. It is easy to forget that Ginn was one of the top defensive backs in the country coming out of Glenville. The man who recruited him to Ohio State, Mel Tucker, is now defensive backs coach of the Browns. - Mary Kay Cabot and Dennis Manoloff, Cleveland Plain Dealer
