Official Cleveland Browns Draft Thread

as a steelers fan i would love to see cleveland take Brady Quinn - he is far from what that team needs to get better. They need Oline or Dline help the most IMO

That seals it

You know, GMs of teams should employ fans of other teams and have them tell him who to pick, so he can pick another guy.....

I am no Browns fan, but I love draft talk. As a Bengals fan, I say take Leon the lion. We'll throw our #3 and 4 receivers out there and watch him get tourched (who the hell actually thinks this guy is the best CB in the draft?).

The problem the Browns face is their needs don't match the talent at the top. If Russell is there, I doubt Savage could pass on him (and in the LONG of it he'd be a good pick). Assume Russell is gone and now Johnson is the best talent on the board, WR not an area of need. That leaves Thomas or AP. With both obvious needs, deside if Thomas is really the dominate LT needed to protect Fry's blind side or the reincarnation of Robert Gallery? I'd hate to be the guy who wasted a big pick like that on the next Gallery. Now we have AP. Hands down the best back in the draft, but injury prone. The last thing the Browns need is another injury prone skill player.

Here is what the Browns really need to hope. Russell goes #1 and Quinn #2. Now, somebody is really drooling over Calvin and willing to move up. Now you land in the 8-12 range and land Lynch or possibly Adams. Either would be a good fit for you. With your extra pick in the second round, grab a solid fit for the OL.

I wouldn't mind this scenario at all. Russell is a freak, but really doubt he will be there. He does #1. God knows we need as many picks as possible and moving down may be the best thing to do, since there is no stand-out stud. Who knows, someone like Branch might fall to 8-12. Good observations Okinawa.

It could prove to be very important for the Browns to win the coin toss for the third pick. I am really hoping for the above situation to happen because the Browns desperately need more picks in the first couple rounds of the draft.
